Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing preliminary design plans, technical documents, and project specifications under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Conduct analyses, perform standard computations, and assist in the creation of drawings and visual aids for bridge design projects.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure that all work complies with local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Observe and support construction activities to collect relevant data and contribute to site assessments and progress reviews.
- Utilize design software and tools for drafting, modeling, and project visualization.
- Assist in the development of project cost estimates and resource planning.
- Perform quality control self-checks on assigned tasks and contribute to the review process.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of the project.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineers or project managers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
- Passage, or ability to pursue passage, of the FE exam.
- Understanding of design principles and standards.
- Familiarity with engineering and design software specific to the assigned discipline.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
