Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • An active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience and expertise in joint or naval planning, operational-level command integration, and multi-component campaign or crisis response operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other planning platforms.
  • Superior critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities in complex environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, including presentations and decision briefings.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and collaborate with diverse teams in high-stakes, multi-agency contexts.
Responsibilities
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of security agreements, policy, and applicable strategies from USINDOPACOM, HQMC, and PACFLT to planning, assessment, and operational tasks.
  • Integrate combined and joint warfighting concepts, including command relationships, into planning products and daily decisions.
  • Lead and support operational planning teams, joint planning groups, working groups, boards, and cross-functional or integrated planning teams.
  • Use Microsoft Office and similar platforms to build and present written and visual decision-support products.
  • Identify and analyze complex military problems; generate, brief, and document recommendations for senior leader decisions.
  • Participate in daily Stand-Up Briefs.
  • Join weekly updates, branch head synchronizations, future operations and all-domain integrated planning teams, line of effort working groups, synchronizations, and competition/crisis working groups.
  • Engage in operational and intelligence briefs and ADA2 working group sessions.
  • Participate in campaign synchronization and decision boards, joint effects/plan validation boards, and Command update briefs.
  • Support MEFs, numbered fleets, and other components with planning.
  • Plan and support Joint Targeting & Intelligence Boards, ADA2, and force modernization initiatives.
  • Contribute to campaign assessments and discuss findings in semi-annual reviews.
  • Support the planning and execution of expeditionary operations.
  • Complete annual training and contribute feedback for the Commandant’s Risk Assessment, Annual Joint Assessment, annual command assessments, and commander’s feedback cycles.
  • Participate in major exercises, including Command Post, Field Training, Table Top, Naval Services Games, and Staff/Warfighter Talks, and plan and support Fleet Battle Problems.
  • Prepare operational orders, including PLANORDs, WARNORDs, and EXORDs, meeting briefs and minutes, event evaluations, after-action/trip reports, key leader engagement talking points, and conference materials.
  • Evaluate OAI events and develop recommendations for future operations.
  • Travel as needed to support planning and assessments.
  • Provide support in writing OPLANs, support plans, and contingency plans (CONPLANs).
  • Brief and support senior leadership events and symposiums.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree.
  • An advanced degree in a related field such as Strategic Studies, National Security, or Military Science.
  • Experience working with USMC, COMPACFLT, or USINDOPACOM in joint/combined functional component roles.
  • Direct involvement in campaign planning, operational assessments, and iteration of military doctrine.
  • Familiarity with modern multi-domain operations, force modernization, and Fleet Battle Problem planning and execution.
  • Previous leadership of cross-functional operational planning teams at headquarters or component level.

AI forces companies to rethink hiring practices as job applications surge and entry-level pipelines shrink

Business Insider convened 15 HR and C-suite leaders in Davos to discuss how AI is reshaping hiring and talent pipelines. The roundtable, presented by Indeed, revealed growing concerns about entry-level positions and skills assessment. Deloitte's Elizabeth Faber emphasised maintaining a "human-led, technology-powered" approach whilst carefully navigating reduced junior hiring. TCW's Melissa Stolfi noted her firm has downsized its analyst class but maintains a pyramid structure to preserve apprenticeship culture and future leadership pipelines. Indeed's chief economist Svenja Gudell warned that whilst tech employers now demand five-plus years' experience, this creates future talent shortages if junior hiring continues declining. Salesforce's Nathalie Scardino said her company receives two million applications annually and has shifted focus from years of experience to learning aptitude. Deloitte to hire 50,000 employees in India, eyes Mangaluru expansion

Deloitte plans to hire 50,000 employees in India and is evaluating Mangaluru, Karnataka, as a potential new location, according to South Asia CEO Romal Shetty. The company currently employs 140,000 people in India, representing one in four Deloitte employees globally. Shetty said India hosts 50% of all global capability centres worldwide, with significant growth potential in Tier II and Tier III cities. He proposed creating digital economic zones integrating GCCs, GPU-based data centres, startups and academic institutions to accelerate expansion. The CEO called for streamlining GCC setup processes from six months to two weeks, whilst acknowledging infrastructure constraints around energy and water for data centres. Shetty noted Mangaluru offers advantages including talent availability and real estate, adding the company's presence there is a matter of timing.
