What you’ll do:
We are looking for an engineer with hydraulics system design experience to join our growing team at our launch site in Cape Canaveral, Florida. You will be responsible for supporting our launch site and supporting facilities on a day to day basis. Work includes but is not limited to: design and installation of new equipment, creating and implementing procedures, troubleshooting and working with engineering teams. You bring curiosity for our unique technology and our production processes and are eager to develop a next-generation manufacturing facility.
This position is part of our Launch Operations organization, which maintains the launch site and supporting facilities. Our facilities are a vital part of Relativity’s success in creating the first autonomous rocket factory and delivering industry-leading launch services to our customers.
What you need to know:
BS Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and minimum 5+ years of experience with hydraulic system design
- Experience with hydraulic control systems
- Working knowledge of 3d modeling software
- Experience with Automation Studio or similar
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- High organizational skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Recognize and act on opportunities; maintain flexibility to adjust as requirements shift or constraints change
Nice to haves but not required:
- Familiarity with and ability to use hand tools and light power tools
- Experience with CFD
- Experience with FEA
- Experience using Modal analysis
- Experience with Visio
