Requirements
  • Doctoral degree required. This can be a doctoral degree with a specialization in School Psychology; or a Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology AND a doctorate in a closely related field (e.g., Counseling, Special Education)
  • At least 2 years of experience as a practicing school psychologist
  • Working knowledge of NASP domains of practice
  • Demonstrated experience with equity and inclusion related to education, cultural competence, and/or cultural humility
  • Experience teaching, supervising, and/or supporting graduate-level students
  • Credential in School Psychology
Responsibilities
  • Teach and advise school psychology graduate candidates and serve the program
  • Teach 24 units per year (e.g. 8, 3–unit courses)
  • Teach courses on campus (in-person) and fully online
  • Provide ongoing continuous monitoring and advisement, and develop remediation plans as necessary, to support candidate progress and success.
  • Contribute to the program’s curriculum design and ongoing program improvement.
  • Collaborate with program administration, faculty, and staff in ongoing program development, evaluation, and accreditation activities.
  • Assist with the recruitment and admissions of candidates
  • Remain attentive to emerging research so that teaching and advising are responsive to current professional practice and expectations
  • Represent the School Psychology Program at meetings, conferences, and with professional associations.
  • Manage the program’s assessment materials, equipment, subscriptions, and procedures
  • Position is expected to begin August 15, 2026
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual and experience with bilingual assessments
  • Knowledge of CTC standards for school psychology
  • Experience teaching graduate-level courses
  • Experience with online teaching and learning
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, advocacy, and activism
  • Experience with or willing to gain experience with online test administration
  • Experience with or willing to train with PREPaRE crisis intervention
