Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus some customer service experience.
  • Fluent English communication is required.
  • Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to move about public areas.
  • Ability to communicate with other people.
  • Ability to handle objects, products, and computer equipment.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel.
  • Reading and writing abilities for compiling departmental records and guest registration and reservation information.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic computer skills for entering and collecting data and reporting system problems or issues with hotel financial systems.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Responsibilities
  • Accurately balance all hotel income and expenses for the 24-hour hotel operating period.
  • Balance and audit room revenue, food and beverage revenue, and telephone revenue for accuracy, and assist in preparing reports relevant to daily revenues.
  • Balance and audit room and tax charges, cashier’s reports, and guest and house accounts for accuracy.
  • Complete and transmit daily management and accounting reports and supporting documents.
  • Prepare customer tracking, market segmentation, food and beverage revenue, and other auditing reports necessary to ensure accurate accounting of hotel revenues and expenses.
  • Transmit credit card batches.
  • Act as the hotel system liaison during night hours and call in and open tickets with Opera, Protobase, or System Support when system failures or issues occur overnight.
  • Communicate with other hotel departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and request or provide information.
  • Perform Guest Service Representative functions as required, including assisting with room reservations, answering hotel phone calls, and notifying guests of messages.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Some college is preferred.
  • Other languages are preferred.
