Requirements
  • An associate degree, technical or trade school degree, or eight years of experience in the facility services industry or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exposure to the field service and/or maintenance industry.
  • Experience with maintenance purchasing and project management.
  • A high level of technical product and process knowledge, with demonstrated leadership or supervision experience.
  • Effective planning, organizational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • An advanced understanding of computerized maintenance management system and building management system tools and techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
  • The ability to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
  • In-depth working knowledge and experience in preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • The ability to work any and all shifts or days as required.
  • The ability to walk extensively in a large facility.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate the efficient and high-quality execution of facility maintenance responsibilities.
  • Own the process of purchasing materials, equipment, supplies, and specialized or complex services in accordance with prescribed purchasing regulations and procedures.
  • Schedule repairs, renovation projects, waste-reduction improvements, and safety inspections.
  • Participate in purchasing activities with manufacturing and maintenance departments to maintain inventory.
  • Identify and propose preventive maintenance activities for facilities and production systems based on established procedures.
  • Attend and actively participate in manufacturing meetings to understand team priorities and concerns and identify opportunities for improvement in the facilities maintenance department.
  • Monitor work in progress, maintain work-order status, verify charges, and close completed work orders.
  • Authorize invoice payments or return merchandise when required.
  • Coordinate and schedule multiple system and equipment repairs and maintenance work orders for the facility.
  • Help develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans for the facility.
  • Work closely with plant management to maximize maintenance schedule attainment.
  • Maintain records and updates in the computerized maintenance management system database to reflect facility conditions, including adjusting tasks and schedules to optimize maintenance.
  • Monitor maintenance-system transactions for accuracy and work with leaders to correct discrepancies and eliminate fundamental causes of problems.
  • Coordinate material delivery with inventory to support the maintenance schedule and examine delivered production materials for conformance to specifications when required.
  • Collect and assemble key performance indicators for the Facilities Department.
  • Maintain inventory records and submit requisitions as necessary to meet maintenance schedules.
  • Liaise with the Supply Chain Department to provide recommendations on supplier selection.
  • Expedite maintenance operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Manage facility consumables.
  • Identify and implement improvements to on-site maintenance processes.
  • Work with the maintenance group and vendors to ensure necessary parts are available while minimizing overall inventory value.
  • Help develop and maintain procedures for parts and work orders and ensure plant compliance with required protocols.
  • Manage the parts inventory system, including entering or supervising the entry of purchase orders, issues, returns, and inventory adjustments.
