J&J Snack Foods earns Zacks Strong Sell rating amid declining EPS estimates and 3% revenue drop

J&J Snack Foods has earned a Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell) rating, reflecting declining earnings estimate revisions and underwhelming performance. The company, known for brands like Superpretzel, Icee, and Dippin' Dots, faces significant headwinds despite its established market presence. Analysts have lowered earnings forecasts across the board in the past 30 days, with FY26 and FY27 estimates down over 3% respectively. Annual earnings are expected to fall 6% this year before rebounding 9% in FY27 to $4.35 per share. Recent Q2 revenue of $344.82 million missed estimates and declined 3% year-over-year. The company has missed top-line expectations in three of its last six quarterly reports. Annual sales are projected to drop 4% in FY26 to $1.52 billion. J&J continues battling margin pressure from higher labour costs, distribution expenses, and manufacturing inefficiencies during operational restructuring.
