Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in digital transformation, automation, data, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or related technology-focused roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience delivering artificial intelligence or intelligent automation solutions into production environments.
  • Experience working within manufacturing, engineering, industrial, energy, or operational environments.
  • Practical experience with modern artificial intelligence technologies, including large language models, artificial intelligence application programming interfaces, workflow automation, document retrieval solutions, and low-code automation tools.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems and enterprise business processes, including how master data, transactions, reporting, and operational workflows interact.
  • Experience identifying opportunities for technology-driven process improvement and business transformation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience leading change management, user adoption, or training initiatives for new technologies.
  • Strong understanding of data protection, confidentiality, security, and responsible artificial intelligence principles.
  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to CEL Critical Power locations when required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and own CEL's artificial intelligence adoption roadmap, identifying, prioritising, and delivering high-value artificial intelligence initiatives across the organisation.
  • Identify, scope, pilot, and scale artificial intelligence use cases across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Projects, Sales, Tendering, Finance, and other key functions.
  • Integrate artificial intelligence capabilities with core business systems, including enterprise resource planning, computer-aided design/product lifecycle management, customer relationship management, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Collaborate with information technology teams, software vendors, and external partners to support data integration, system architecture, and artificial intelligence-enabled workflows.
  • Establish governance frameworks for responsible artificial intelligence usage, including data privacy, intellectual property protection, security, compliance, and model risk management.
  • Build artificial intelligence literacy across the organisation through training programmes, awareness initiatives, and the development of artificial intelligence champions and super-users.
  • Develop adoption metrics and reporting frameworks to demonstrate business impact and user engagement.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with artificial intelligence vendors, technology providers, and implementation partners.
  • Support engineering and product teams in exploring artificial intelligence-enabled product and service innovations, including predictive maintenance, analytics, and intelligent infrastructure solutions.
  • Stay informed on emerging artificial intelligence trends, technologies, and use cases that could create competitive advantage for CEL.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience within switchgear, electrical distribution, critical power, data centre, or related industrial sectors.
  • Experience applying artificial intelligence within engineering design, computer-aided design automation, drawing intelligence, or engineering workflows.
  • Experience with predictive and operational analytics, or industrial artificial intelligence use cases.
  • Experience developing data platforms, business intelligence environments, Power BI solutions, or machine learning operations capabilities.
  • Experience integrating artificial intelligence solutions with enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, computer-aided design, product lifecycle management, Microsoft 365, or other enterprise systems.
  • Exposure to SAP environments and enterprise resource planning-driven business processes.
