Requirements
  • Strong ability to collaborate between many teams and ability to get things done cross functionally
  • Strong engineering skills with a Bachelors of Engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or similar)
  • 5 plus years of experience working in a fast paced engineering environment
  • Familiarity with Python and Linux
  • Experience with test equipment (vibe tables, thermal chambers, data acquisition systems)
  • Experience designing mechanical test benches and/or test fixtures
  • Ability to get things done with others when you are not in charge. (For example: work with technicians to instrument sensors for extra data collection)
  • Ability to collaborate with folks who don't necessarily understand data as well as you
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and apply problem-solving skills to recommend actions that improve the business
  • Experience with 3D CAD, preferably Catia/Solidworks
Responsibilities
  • Drive end-to-end mechanical design of stand-alone functional test systems
  • Design and build test systems that will collect meaningful and useful data
  • Work to optimize and automate our testing process
  • Interface regularly with other technical leads to resolve test design, build, and execution issues
  • Work with other engineers and technicians to ensure successful completion of projects

  • Experience in the automotive autonomy industry
  • The ability to debug complex electrical, mechanical, optical, and software systems
  • Familiar with a variety of instrumentation and measurement methods
