Requirements
  • Five to eight years of experience as a Cloud Engineer in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud solutions in a multi-cloud environment while ensuring business requirements are met or exceeded.

NCC Group teams up with SailPoint on identity security. Mon, 10th Aug 2026 (Today) NCC Group has entered into a collaboration with SailPoint on identity security services, extending its work on securing both human and non-human identities. The arrangement will allow NCC Group to deliver and manage identity security services worldwide using SailPoint's platform. It is focused on helping organisations govern access across cloud, hybrid and AI-enabled environments as machine and AI-driven identities grow alongside human users. The cyber security company plans to offer managed identity governance and administration, advisory and implementation services, and security controls aimed at AI agents and automated processes. These services are intended to address issues including privilege sprawl, insider risk, compliance demands and new attack surfaces linked to AI systems. Identity management has become a central concern for businesses as access rights spread across employees, contractors, software bots, connected systems and AI tools. Companies in regulated sectors in particular face pressure to show tighter control over who or what can access sensitive data and systems. SailPoint provides identity security software designed to give organisations visibility and governance over human, machine and AI-driven identities. The collaboration supports NCC Group's identity offering and broadens the services it can provide to customers with complex technology estates. The announcement also reflects a wider shift in cyber security spending towards identity-focused controls. As attackers increasingly target credentials, privileged accounts and poorly governed service identities, companies are seeking more detailed oversight of access permissions and stronger monitoring of how those permissions are used. Remco Postma, AVP, Partners and Alliances EMEA at SailPoint, outlined the rationale for the collaboration. Growing focus Non-human identities have drawn more scrutiny as businesses adopt automation, cloud-native applications and AI systems that rely on service accounts, application credentials and autonomous agents. These identities can be difficult to track at scale, especially when they are created quickly across multiple systems and teams. NCC Group said its services would cover continuous monitoring and optimisation of identity environments, as well as design and deployment work aligned with business risk and regulatory requirements. It also highlighted controls intended to support the adoption of AI and automation by setting access, accountability and governance rules around those systems. The collaboration adds to NCC Group's broader cyber resilience work across public and private sector clients in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. The company says it employs more than 2,000 people and has built its business around cyber security and software escrow services. Splan, Inc. has been selected as a launch partner for SailPoint's Unified Platform Access Program, announced against the backdrop of the Black Hat Security Conference. The programme, launched on 16 June 2026, enables technology partners to build solutions on SailPoint's Atlas foundation through advanced integration tools and joint go-to-market support. Splan offers Securify, a cloud-based platform that integrates physical identity governance with SailPoint's systems. The solution transforms cardholder profiles, badge access events, and entitlements for employees, contractors, and visitors into normalised data streams for SailPoint's enterprise catalogues. Announced at Black Hat USA 2026, the new SailPoint Identity Security solution combines the company's newly available Agentic Fabric with Human Fabric, an updated version of its Identity Security Cloud platform. Human Fabric brings continuous access monitoring and real-time identity context into SailPoint's workforce identity governance tools. The platform is designed to identify privilege creep, feed identity data into security operations workflows, and support just-in-time provisioning, which limits administrative access to the period required for a specific task. Agentic Fabric focuses on non-human identities, including automated accounts, AI agents, and Model Context Protocol servers. SailPoint said the platform uses endpoint and browser sensors to identify unmanaged agents, credentials, and machine activity. It also includes prompt filtering for sensitive data, automated ownership policies and a central control that can disable an agent when suspicious behavior is detected. The launch reflects the growing pressure on enterprises to manage identity across a workforce that now includes employees, service accounts, software bots, and AI systems. Continuous profiling gives engineers deep insight into how applications consume CPU, memory, and other resources in production - but broad deployment across infrastructure has historically been cost-prohibitive. Adaptive Profiles changes this by dynamically adjusting the detail and frequency of data collection based on workload behavior. During normal operations, it collects at a cost-effective baseline. When anomalies or performance issues arise, it automatically increases resolution to ensure engineers have the data they need to investigate. For engineering teams that have struggled to justify fleet-wide profiling, Adaptive Profiles makes the economics work, delivering richer performance data where it matters, without requiring a fixed high-cost collection rate across every service. Adaptive Profiles joins three generally available capabilities that have already delivered significant, measurable results across the Grafana Cloud customer base. Adaptive Metrics is now the most widely deployed component of the suite and has helped customers eliminate 28.5 billion active series, delivering an average 35% reduction in metrics costs. One customer, Mux, was able to cut its metrics volume by 60% and extended retention from 14 days to 13 months. "Adaptive Metrics is an amazing feature. It not only saves us hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, but it's also a forcing function for us to look closely at our metrics to find additional opportunities for time series reduction and cardinality improvements," said Kyle Weaver, Staff Software Engineer at Mux. Adaptive Logs applies the same usage-based analysis to log data, identifying high-volume, low-value log patterns and generating recommendations for what can be safely dropped. Across Grafana Cloud, Adaptive Logs has eliminated 26 petabytes of log volume - data that teams were paying to store but never using. TeleTracking, an early adopter, has seen a 50% reduction in log volumes. "Adaptive Logs helps reduce noise, making it easier to spot valuable logs and ultimately saves us costs," said Andrew Qu, Software Engineer II at TeleTracking. Adaptive Traces, which reached general availability in October 2025, uses tail sampling to ensure that traces with errors, high latency, or other signals of interest are always retained, while noise from healthy, repetitive spans is filtered out. Across Grafana Cloud, Adaptive Traces has reduced trace data volume by an average of 82%. "Before Adaptive Traces, we had two bad options: send everything and blow our budget, or send so little we couldn't get meaningful insight," said Geoff Schultz, Manager, Infrastructure Engineering at Auditboard. "Now tracing is actually usable, we can dial sampling up or down as needed, keep costs in check, and still give teams the visibility they need."
