Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • 15 years of experience designing complex application or digital solutions, including at least 5 years as an enterprise or solution architect.
  • 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing architects and influencing through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Insurance industry experience is required, with strong understanding of underwriting, claims, policy administration, billing, distribution, or digital customer/agent interactions.
  • Demonstrated expertise architecting customer-facing and business-facing digital applications, platforms, and integrations.
  • Strong experience with modern development platforms, application frameworks, integration patterns, API platforms, cloud services, and data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience across multiple SDLC methodologies including agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and iterative delivery models.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption paths aligned to business value.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and lead collaboratively with business, product, and technology teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate architectural decisions to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of modern architecture trends enabling modernization, digital transformation, and competitive differentiation.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop domain architects with a focus on application, integration, and digital domain expertise, ensuring strong talent, succession planning, and alignment with Amerisure’s strategic agenda.
  • Provide technical leadership across domains including application architecture, integration, data, digital products, security, and cloud.
  • Design, document, and maintain the enterprise application and solution architecture, ensuring cohesive alignment across core insurance functions and customer-facing platforms.
  • Ensure business and technology strategies remain aligned with Amerisure’s operating model and future-state digital aspirations.
  • Define modern architectural standards and patterns (microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, cloud-native design, domain-driven design) while maintaining a strong cybersecurity posture.
  • Create and socialize a clear architectural vision enabling business growth, modernization, and superior customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, product teams, and technology partners to translate business needs into scalable, high-performing application and digital solutions.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Amerisure’s existing application and data landscape, guiding modernization, reuse, rationalization, and integration strategies.
  • Research and evaluate emerging application technologies, development frameworks, cloud services, and digital experience platforms relevant to insurance transformation.
  • Influence senior leadership by articulating the business value of architectural decisions, securing alignment and investment for modernization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a solution landscape that supports speed-to-market, reusability, interoperability, and adoption of modern engineering practices.
  • Resolve complex cross-domain application challenges—including integration, APIs, workflow, data flow, and platform interoperability.

Compre Group assumes Amerisure asbestos liabilities in strategic legacy deal. Compre Group has expanded its legacy risk footprint by assuming a significant portfolio of asbestos insurance liabilities from Amerisure, in a move aimed at enhancing capital flexibility and reducing balance sheet volatility for the cedant. The Bermuda-based reinsurer will assume the liabilities and claims, including a significant block of legacy reserves.
