Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; equivalent banking experience may be considered.
  • Three to five years of client-facing banking experience.
  • Strong knowledge of teller functions, client services, deposit accounts, treasury products, banking regulations, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate First Western's products and services and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, tax considerations, and internal policies.
  • A notary commission is required within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities
  • Build and deepen relationships with commercial and complex consumer clients, supporting new accounts, onboarding, service needs, and annual review activities.
  • Manage complex deposit requests and perform teller functions, including cash handling, money movement, and end-of-day processing, with accuracy and consistency.
  • Support Profit Center operations through audits, security procedures, after-hours security contact duties, and participation in operational deposit initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to Private Banker I team members and collaborate with Operations, Compliance, Loan Operations, and Security to resolve client needs.
  • Participate in business development activities and maintain strong knowledge of bank products, services, regulations, and procedures to ensure compliance and exceptional client support.

First Western reports Q2 2026 net income of $5.7M as net interest margin expands to 2.90%

First Western Financial reported second quarter 2026 net income available to common shareholders of $5.7 million, or $0.57 per diluted share. This compares to $6.2 million, or $0.63 per diluted share, in the first quarter of 2026, and $2.5 million, or $0.26 per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2025. Net interest income increased $0.9 million, or 4.3%, from $20.9 million in Q1 2026 to $21.8 million in Q2. The Denver-based company's net interest margin expanded 9 basis points from 2.81% to 2.90% quarter-over-quarter. Average noninterest-bearing deposits grew $17.8 million, or 5.1%, from $347.5 million in Q1 to $365.3 million in Q2.

First Western Trust hires Alison Timboe as senior vice president in Jackson Hole

First Western Trust has appointed Alison Timboe as Senior Vice President, Trust Officer in its Jackson Hole, Wyoming office. Timboe brings nearly two decades of experience in estate planning, fiduciary advisory and trust administration, most recently serving as Senior Trust Advisor at Wells Fargo Private Bank. In her new role, Timboe will strengthen First Western Trust's trust services in Wyoming whilst supporting clients across the firm's Western markets. She will partner with clients and advisors to develop customised trust strategies and help families leverage Wyoming trust situs advantages. Timboe holds a bachelor's degree in business economics from UC Santa Barbara, a Juris Doctor from Vermont Law and Graduate School, and an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of San Diego. First Western reports Q1 2026 net income of $6.2M, up 88% from previous quarter

First Western Financial reported net income available to common shareholders of $6.2 million, or $0.63 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2026, up from $3.3 million, or $0.34 per share, in the fourth quarter of 2025. The Denver-based financial services holding company saw net interest margin increase 10 basis points to 2.81% from 2.71% in the previous quarter. Net interest income rose 1.5% to $20.9 million, whilst non-interest income increased 9.8% to $6.7 million. Total deposits grew $95 million, or 3.5%, to $2.84 billion during the quarter. Total loans held for investment increased 1.5% to $2.69 billion. Non-performing assets decreased to $16.3 million, or 0.50% of total assets, from $19.6 million in the previous quarter. Book value per common share rose 2.9% to $28.10.

First Western Trust names Jeff Miller as Scottsdale market president

First Western Trust has appointed Jeff Miller as Scottsdale Market President. Miller brings over 15 years of commercial and private banking experience, most recently serving in a senior leadership role at FirstBank, where he led commercial and consumer credit teams across the Phoenix metro area. A Scottsdale resident since 2010, Miller is deeply engaged in the community, serving as Chairman of the Board for the Scottsdale Police Foundation and Board Chair of the Scottsdale Public Art Advisory Board. He will focus on expanding First Western Trust's presence in Scottsdale by building relationships with business owners and high-net-worth individuals. Miller holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University and is a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

First Western reports Q4 2025 net income of $3.3M as net interest margin rises 17 basis points

First Western Financial reported net income available to common shareholders of $3.3 million, or $0.34 per diluted share, for the fourth quarter of 2025, compared to $3.2 million, or $0.32 per share, in the third quarter of 2025. Net interest margin increased 17 basis points to 2.71% from 2.54% in the previous quarter, whilst net interest income rose 5.6% to $20.6 million. Total loans held for investment grew $59 million, or 2.3%, to $2.65 billion. The Denver-based bank holding company saw total deposits decrease 3.5% to $2.75 billion, primarily due to reductions in higher-cost money market accounts. Non-performing assets totalled $19.6 million, or 0.62% of total assets, down from 0.70% in the previous quarter.
