Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in data and document migration, ECM implementation, or related fields is required, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within the life sciences industry.
  • Extensive experience architecting, installing, designing, implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting ECM systems and applications is required.
  • Advanced experience with ECM platforms such as Veeva Vault, OpenText Documentum, and Generis CARA; data and document migration tools; SQL; XML; and scripting languages is required.
  • Experience with cloud-based and on-premise solutions is required.
  • Strong understanding of life sciences regulations and compliance requirements, including validation processes and GxP-validated systems, processes, and documentation requirements, is required.
  • Experience working with clients across international markets and managing globally distributed technical project teams, including offshore resources and external providers, is required.
  • The candidate must be able to prepare regular written and verbal presentations, technical documents, and reports.
  • The candidate must be flexible, able to multitask, and able to work within an ambiguous, fast-paced environment while driving toward clarity and solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with project managers and stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, timelines, and resource efforts, and break them into actionable work packages tracked in development plans.
  • Serve as the liaison between the technical project team and stakeholders, facilitate communication, coordinate dependencies, provide updates, address concerns, and promote collaboration.
  • Lead and manage a global team of technical consultants, including onshore and offshore employees and contractors, by cultivating a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented work environment.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on architecture and design decisions, code reviews, documentation practices, project execution standards, and best practices, while preserving artifacts and knowledge throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage technical stakeholders to gather feedback, understand requirements, and manage expectations; provide or contribute to weekly status reports covering project progress, risks, and scope changes.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, challenges, and roadblocks, and communicate them to the Project Manager while collaborating on solution options.
  • Identify potential change orders and provide technical scope definitions, estimates, and resource planning for proposed changes.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance practices, define test strategies, review test plans, ensure adequate test coverage, and support resolution of defects and performance issues.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and identify improvements in internal processes, tools, implementation practices, and migration practices.
  • Share industry knowledge and insights through whitepapers, blog posts, webinars, or speaking engagements.
  • Support business development and account management teams during pre-sales by providing technical expertise, developing tailored solutions and estimates, and contributing to proposals.
  • Work with clients to understand business objectives, translate them into system requirements, and lead implementation and migration of content management solutions.
  • Coordinate with offshore teams and partners to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams in Clinical, Regulatory, and Quality domains.
  • Travel occasionally to international and domestic project sites or client meetings and work flexible hours when necessary to accommodate program timelines and deadlines.
