Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and a minimum of two years of experience performing the listed primary responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Technical skills and understanding of substation, transmission and distribution, and/or deep foundation drilling projects.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff, vendors, and clients.
  • Understanding of obtaining permits and meeting owners' contractual requirements, including submittals, insurance and bonds, billing documents, and closeout documents.
  • Understanding of timekeeping, progress reports, billing and collection, subcontracts, accounts payable, change orders, and related project administration.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with total project management related to estimating, scheduling, safety, operations, and quality.
  • Manage a small project with weekly review and guidance from upper management.
  • Assist in managing risks related to job-site safety, owner contractual terms, city and county specifications, and other contractors working on-site.
  • Recognize, identify, and prevent safety, quality, and incident issues on and around job sites and work areas.
  • Help coordinate project schedules to ensure milestones are met, including planning work and scheduling subcontractors, crews, and equipment.
  • Coordinate material needs with suppliers and field supervision.
  • Work with estimators in pre-construction meetings with key operations supervisors to support productive project progress.
  • Assist in facilitating project controls, documentation, and procedures; maintain current budgets and notify leaders of budget impacts.
  • Work with senior team members to facilitate change orders and closeout documentation with clients.
  • Coordinate resources with project managers, general superintendents, project engineers, and related personnel.
  • Document project impacts related to the project schedule, budget, and plans.
  • Identify and rectify potential and actual project delays throughout the project.
  • Manage job costs incurred to date and predict estimated costs for remaining production.
  • Manage LCPR and material logs to account for FCAC.

Breaking ground on another industrial project with Mapletree in Joliet. Keeley Construction recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a new 419,520-square-foot industrial facility at 1851 Brandon Road in Joliet, Illinois. The ceremony brought together representatives from Mapletree, Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB), Architects Plus Design Studio, CAGE, and the Keeley Construction team to mark the beginning of another collaborative project. This development marks Keeley's second project with Mapletree in Joliet. Together, the two industrial facilities represent more than 731,800 square feet currently under construction, highlighting the continued strength of the partnership and Keeley's growing presence in the region's industrial market.
