Requirements
  • Completed LPC and hold a 2:1 degree or equivalent qualification
  • Prior experience of working as a paralegal or working within a legal or compliance department (either at a law firm or in-house)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills
  • Hard working, enthusiastic, with a high level of initiative and a willingness to learn
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
  • Experience working in a regulated financial institution is beneficial
  • Experience of GDPR and data privacy legislation or contractual work is beneficial
Responsibilities
  • Organising and ensuring the smooth operation of the group’s board and governance
  • Act as a first point of contact for ongoing contractual reorganisation projects (including in relation to the implementation of UK International Data Transfer Agreements)
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to identify and update data protection related clauses in contract
  • Actively review and comment on a wide range of commercial contracts (with a particular focus on data protection compliance)
  • Be responsible for updating and maintaining internal legal trackers and managing storage of documentation
  • Provide general support to the wider legal team
