Requirements
  • Comply with all relevant Occupational, Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation, codes of practice, standards, policies, operating procedures and work instructions as outlined by Arxada.
  • Experience in managing manufacturing operations and directing inwards goods, manufacturing, and distribution functions to ensure efficient production at a site.
  • Ability to lead safety culture improvement initiatives and drive reduction of Serious Injury and Fatality risk and EHS incidents (Safety, Environmental and Process Safety).
  • Experience conducting contractor pre-qualification assessments and ongoing auditing.
  • Ability to implement behavioural based safety processes, hazard identification systems, and robust permit to work systems to prevent work-related injury or illness.
  • Experience identifying, documenting, and reviewing EHS hazards/risks/activities in line with risk management directives.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and ability to maximize plant utilization and reference lean techniques.
  • Budgeting skills and ability to achieve budgeted costs of manufacture and manage production overheads.
  • Operational and strategic plant improvements experience, including capex, projects, systems, and people management.
  • Leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities to ensure roles are understood, scheduling adhered to and downtime minimized.
  • Experience managing toll manufacturing sites and approval of customer bulk unloading facilities.
  • Ability to direct and manage site activities to meet cost, quality, and quantity targets while fostering continuous improvement.
  • Maintain emergency response capability through currency and testing of emergency management plans at site level.
  • Knowledge of reliability improvement for plant and production equipment and planning plant maintenance programs including contractor vetting and control.
  • Experience with resources management including sourcing and installing new equipment and input into CAPEX planning and Management of Change processes.
  • SAP experience including managing site bill of materials and recipe requirements, raising process orders, and maintaining production quality control.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct and coordinate inwards goods, manufacturing, and distribution functions to ensure that Trentham operations produce and deliver product effectively and efficiently.
  • Drive the safety culture improvement initiative and lead efforts to reduce serious injury and fatality risk while reducing the number of EHS incidents.
  • Ensure site compliance with occupational, health, safety and environmental legislation, codes of practice, standards, policies, operating procedures, and work instructions and Environmental, Health & Safety procedures.
  • Lead Environmental, Health & Safety elements of Australian Management of Change, Opportunities for Improvement and corrective actions processes.
  • Lead EHS meetings and safety culture change through interpretation, analysis, motivation, and education of individuals by location.
  • Conduct contractor pre-qualification assessments and ongoing auditing as required.
  • Ensure prevention of work-related injury or illness through behavioural based safety processes, hazard identification systems, and formal job safety analysis through a robust permit to work system.
  • Ensure EHS hazards/risks/activities at the Trentham site are identified, documented and reviewed in accordance with risk management directive in consultation with risk & system improvement.
  • Maximise plant utilisation and apply Lean principles.
  • Achieve budgeted costs of manufacture and manage production overheads.
  • Oversee operational and strategic plant improvements, capex projects, systems, and people management.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to Trentham site employees to ensure roles are clearly understood, scheduling is adhered to and downtime is minimized.
  • Manage toll manufacturing sites and approval of customer bulk unloading facilities.
  • Plan, direct and manage site activities to produce and supply products that meet cost, quality and quantity requirements while building a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the Trentham site has emergency response capability through maintaining currency and testing of emergency management plans; support R&D and Sales responsibility of ANZ EHS team.
  • Review and improve the reliability of plant and production equipment; plan and manage plant maintenance programs including vetting and control of contractors.
  • Manage resources including sourcing and overseeing installation of new equipment; contribute to CAPEX planning and Management of Change processes.
  • Direct input into SAP BOM and recipe requirements, raise process orders to meet production requirements and maintain production quality control.
