Requirements
  • 2–3 years of experience in warehouse fulfillment operations, including at least 1 year in a lead, supervisory, or line coordinator role overseeing picking and packing.
  • Strong working knowledge of high-volume direct-to-consumer parcel fulfillment, business-to-business routing, retail compliance, and less-than-truckload or palletized freight procedures.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems such as Deposco, Manhattan, or HighJump, handheld radio-frequency scanners, and shipping software.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout an 8- to 10-hour shift.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily staff executing cart picking and order packing for business-to-business and direct-to-consumer channels.
  • Address order issues, rollbacks, and sales requests promptly.
  • Monitor active order queues and dynamically reallocate team members between picking and packing stations to prevent bottlenecks and meet same-day cutoffs.
  • Ensure compliance with packing guidelines, business-to-business compliance labeling, pallet routing, and direct-to-consumer shipment specifications.
  • Coordinate staging, loading, and handoffs for UPS, FedEx, USPS, and less-than-truckload or truckload freight carriers.
  • Communicate directly with carriers regarding pickups and trailer scheduling.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Inventory Control, and Customer Service teams to resolve stock-outs, order holds, and inventory allocation issues.
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks, reduce picking travel times, minimize dimensional-weight costs, and drive continuous-improvement strategies to lower cost per order.
  • Maintain a clean, organized staging area in accordance with 5S lean principles and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
  • Ensure proper care and utilization of picking carts, packing terminals, scales, and dunnage dispensers.
  • Ensure that at least 98% of orders released before cutoff ship the same day.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience with Deposco Warehouse Management System software.
  • Experience handling fragile lifestyle products, glassware, or multi-SKU retail consumer goods.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S principles, or process-optimization methodologies.
