Requirements
  • Previous experience in a senior leadership role within the hotel industry is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive financial performance, enhance guest satisfaction, and foster employee engagement.
  • Ability to cultivate a team culture centered on accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Ability to work within financial limitations while identifying creative ways to innovate and drive growth.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with guests and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
  • A university or college degree in a related discipline is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all operational areas of the 185-room hotel, including Rooms, Food and Beverage, Spa, and Security.
  • Lead and support operational departments in achieving financial and operational targets through positive culture, clear expectations, and policy and procedure implementation.
  • Support the General Manager in the overall management and strategic direction of the hotel.
  • Provide ongoing mentoring, coaching, and development for the operational team and department heads.
  • Champion employee engagement and promote a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Ensure monthly financial outlooks are timely, accurate, and on target.
  • Assist with preparing, presenting, and achieving the hotel's annual Operating Budget, Marketing and Sales Plan, and Capital Budget.
  • Maintain product and service quality standards, exceed guest expectations, and ensure brand standards are consistently executed.
  • Ensure compliance with operating controls and legislation.
  • Participate in operational department shift meetings, weekly forecast meetings, and monthly departmental meetings.
  • Champion and support the hotel's Service Excellence Committee and Sustainability Committee.
  • Own and champion all operational aspects of the Accounting and Operations Annual Audit.
  • Work on-site according to business levels and operational needs, including weekends and holidays.
  • Follow hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Follow health and safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
