Requirements
  • Qualification to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • MOT Tester qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience after qualifying, working in a franchise dealership or similar environment.
  • Experience working with both cars and commercial vehicles.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Responsibility for the quality and quantity of completed work.
Responsibilities
  • Undertake maintenance, servicing, and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types to the required company and franchise standards within scheduled times.
  • Repair and test vehicles and diagnose faults as requested by the Service Manager and supervisory staff.
  • Replace components, parts, lubricants, and consumables, and record their usage.
  • Keep work areas clean, tidy, organized, and safe from health and safety hazards.
  • Complete work effectively within manufacturers’ servicing and repair times.
  • Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements, including future servicing and repair requirements.
