Nigerian-American Fashion creator and model Wisdom Kaye received one of the night's highest honors at the 19th Annual Harlem's Fashion Row Style Awards, taking home the Virgil Abloh Award sponsored by LVMH. The ceremony took place at The Glasshouse in New York City, serving as a prominent kickoff to New York Fashion Week. The award celebrates Kaye's rapid ascent from filming fashion clips on a phone in his room to earning recognition from top global fashion leaders. Dressed in a navy double-breasted pinstripe suit paired with dark oversized glasses, Kaye stood at the podium with the silver trophy and delivered a candid reflection on his journey. He described the surreal nature of seeing his personal passion evolve into a global movement. "I never thought that with an iPhone and a corner of my room that I'd inspire people all over the world," Kaye said. "I never thought that my ideas were really that great. I never thought that my setup, that I kept shifting from house to house, would be enough to pioneer a new wave of video." Beyond personal achievement, Kaye highlighted the unique position he occupies at the intersection of digital media and high fashion. "And I'm incredibly fortunate. I'm immensely fortunate to be able to traverse both the digital and physical side of our industry, with the amount of corporeal autonomy that I have as well," he remarked. He added a note of awareness regarding industry access: "And I also recognise that not everybody has the same privilege..." The evening, organized under the theme "Peace by Piece," also recognized music legend Erykah Badu with the Fashion Icon Award and awarded Brandon Blackwood the Designer of the Year title. For Kaye, accepting an award bearing the name of the late Virgil Abloh represents a significant milestone for digital creators worldwide. It reinforces how online innovation continues to carve new paths within the global fashion ecosystem, bridging the gap between social media ingenuity and institutional acclaim.

LVMH hands Publicis APAC media account sans pitch.

LVMH hands Publicis APAC media account sans pitch. Published on: 11th September 2026 at 9:18 AM French luxury goods giant LVMH has shifted its Asia-Pacific media and planning account from WPP Media to Publicis without a pitch. The appointment is effective from January 2027 and covers every market in the region save Japan, which remains with Dentsu. The win was revealed in Campaign Asia which cited multiple anonymous sources close to the matter. According to Campaign Asia, the account had historically been valued at between US$450 million to $500 million in annual billings. B&T understands that the account was much lower in value in Australia, despite the Eastern Suburbs' penchant for a Louis bag. WPP Media had held the account for nine years after it won the account and created L'Atelier, a dedicated agency built around the client. Mark Patterson, global president of markets and business operations at WPP Media, said: "It has been a privilege to serve as LVMH's growth partner across Asia Pacific over the past nine years - a period of remarkable transformation during which LVMH's revenue in the region more than doubled. "We're grateful to LVMH for the trust they put in us and wish the Group and its maisons continued success. We're proud of the work our teams delivered for LVMH throughout our partnership and will move forward from a position of strength - as a leader in the luxury sector and Asia Pacific - with exceptional talent, industry-leading technology, and a proven ability to drive growth." LVMH's roster include some of the largest and most recognisable luxury brands around such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Tiffany & Co., Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot as well as beauty retailer Sephora. Sources told Campaign that LVMH wants to move away from the "tightly controlled whitelist system" on the current account towards a less labour-intensive, AI- and data-driven model. This change, it said, would allow the agency to service the client with a smaller team - Campaign quoted that L'Atelier employed some 200 people in China alone. Publicis and WPP Media declined to comment when reached by B&T. Join more than 30,000 advertising industry experts Get all the latest advertising and media news direct to your inbox from B&T.

LVMH stock hits 6-year low as China luxury demand slows in 2026.

LVMH stock hits 6-year low as China luxury demand slows in 2026. LVMH stock hit a six-year low of $494 in September 2026, down 33% YTD, as China demand slows and middle-class buyers exit luxury spending. By Trader Edge September 7, 2026 3 Mins Read Tldr. * LVMH stock closed at $501.09 on September 4, down roughly 2% for the week, after hitting a six-year low of ~$494 on September 3 * The stock has fallen around 33% in 2026, dropping from ~$750 to ~$500 * Bernstein analysts cut their Q3 industry organic growth forecast to 4.9% from 6.3%, citing a slowdown in Chinese luxury mall sales * About 60 million middle-class "aspirational consumers" have exited luxury spending over the past three years, per Bain * Luxury prices have risen 50-70% since 2019, pushing price-sensitive buyers toward jewelry over handbags LVMH stock is having a rough 2026. The luxury giant closed at $501.09 on September 4, just days after hitting a six-year low of around $494 on September 3. That marks the weakest monthly level on the chart since 2021. The stock has shed roughly 33% this year, falling from around $750 in early 2026. LVMH's market cap on the Paris exchange now sits at around 213 billion euros, less than half its 2023 peak, and back to levels last seen in January 2020. Bank of America analysts noted that industry demand slowed by about 3 percentage points in Q3 compared with Q2. The broader STOXX Europe Luxury 10 index is down around 19% year to date. China remains the central problem. LVMH once derived an estimated 30% of total revenue from Chinese consumers. Bernstein analysts recently warned that the mild recovery in Chinese luxury spending seen over the previous four quarters could be "pausing again." China slowdown hits hard. Bernstein cut its Q3 industry organic growth forecast to 4.9% from 6.3% and trimmed its full-year 2026 forecast to 5.1%. Luxury shopping mall sales in mainland China dropped 12% in July alone. Geopolitical pressure is adding to the mix. The ongoing U.S.-Iran conflict is raising concerns about demand and tourism in the Middle East, another key market for luxury brands. Middle-class consumers are also walking away. Bain estimates around 60 million so-called "aspirational consumers" have stopped buying luxury goods over the past three years, roughly 15% of all luxury buyers. Inflation has eroded purchasing power while LVMH and peers have raised prices 50-70% since 2019. Fund manager Flavio Cereda at GAM put it plainly: "As the middle class's spending power has weakened, signs of recovery have repeatedly turned out to be false rebounds." Not all luxury is struggling. It's worth pointing out that not every corner of the luxury market is hurting. Richemont is up 28% over the past six months, pushing past a 100 billion euro market cap. Even within LVMH's own portfolio, jewelry brands Tiffany and Bulgari have held up better than the handbag business. Industry executive Federico Marchetti noted the shift: consumers appear to prefer a 10,000-euro piece of jewelry over a 7,000-euro bag at current price levels. That trend is showing up in the numbers. Technically, LVMH's chart tells the same story as the fundamentals. The stock continues to form lower highs and lower lows. The RSI sits at 37.25, below both the neutral 50 level and its 44.38 average. The MACD is at -48.32 versus a signal line of -39.93, with a histogram reading of -8.38, all pointing to continued downside momentum. Bernstein's current full-year 2026 organic growth forecast for the luxury industry stands at 5.1%. Stop guessing and start investing with confidence. LVMH advances land restoration with new Chad initiative.

LVMH advances land restoration with new Chad initiative. Home / FEATURES, highlight / LVMH advances land restoration with new Chad initiative. September 3, 2026 Post Views: 3,478 On the occasion of COP17, LVMH reaffirmed its commitments to land restoration and launches a new initiative in Chad with AFD and the CBA. On the occasion of the 17th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification in Mongolia (UNCCD COP17), LVMH reaffirmed its commitment to more sustainable, resilient and traceable natural supply chains, with the participation of Frédéric Arnault, Chief Executive Officer of Loro Piana, opened the UNCCD Business4Land Day. Hélène Valade, LVMH Environmental Development Director, also took part in discussions on the regulatory challenges associated with the sustainable transformation of the fashion industry. This presence in Mongolia reflects the Group's and Loro Piana's long-term commitment, as a long-standing actor in the country's cashmere sector. The Maison has notably implemented Resilient Threads, a five-year programme launched in 2025 to strengthen the resilience of the cashmere value chain, with its first results being presented at COP17. Designed according to a holistic approach based on the One Health concept, which is central to LVMH's environmental strategy, Resilient Threads combines ecosystem conservation, support for herder communities and the long-term sustainability of the cashmere sector. It reflects the Group's ambition to achieve triple environmental, social and economic performance throughout its supply chains. On the occasion of COP17, LVMH renewed its support for the UNCCD's Business4Land programme and announced a new initiative to promote regenerative cotton cultivation in Chad, in partnership with the French Development Agency (AFD) and the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance (CBA), founded in 2020 by His Majesty King Charles III, then Prince of Wales, and of which LVMH is a founding member. Projects in Mongolia to support the development of a responsible cashmere sector. LVMH and Loro Piana's commitment in Mongolia is rooted in a long-term approach. For the past ten years, the Group has been supporting the Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA) in developing certification standards for the cashmere sector in Mongolia and China. During COP17, LVMH took part in the SFA Herder Sustainability Awards 2026, which recognised and showcased the most committed herders. The Group is notably sponsoring the "Best Cooperative for Land Management Award" category. Loro Piana and LVMH are also locally engaged through Resilient Threads, a five-year programme launched in 2025. Based on a One Health approach, the project supports cashmere cooperatives and herder communities in Mongolia by combining ecosystem resilience, improved livelihoods and the long-term sustainability of the sector. Following its first year of implementation, the programme's initial results were presented at COP17. The project embodies an integrated approach to sustainability in which the health of ecosystems, animals and communities is closely linked to the economic resilience of the value chain. This approach illustrates LVMH's ambition to make its strategic supply chains drivers of environmental and social transformation, while also contributing to their long-term economic sustainability. LVMH at COP17: a major commitment alongside UNCCD Business4Land. LVMH's presence at COP17 formed part of the Group's broader commitment to land restoration, ecosystem resilience and the sustainable transformation of natural supply chains. This commitment builds on actions already being implemented at scale as part of LIFE 360, the Group's environmental roadmap. In 2025, 4.3 million hectares of wildlife and plant habitats were preserved or regenerated by LVMH and its Maisons, demonstrating the acceleration of the Group's actions in support of biodiversity and ecosystem regeneration. LVMH is also a signatory to the UNCCD's corporate Business4Land programme, which mobilised companies around concrete commitments to the sustainable management of land and water. The Group is also a member of the Business4Land Champions' Council, a network of experts and ambassadors for the programme. LVMH also coordinated the Business4Land French Hub, the programme's first national hub, confirming its ambition to bring economic stakeholders together around practical solutions. This commitment was reflected in several key moments during COP17. Frédéric Arnault opened Business4Land Day on 24 August, while Hélène Valade, LVMH Environmental Development Director, took part in several discussions focusing in particular on financing land restoration, Resilient Threads, and the sustainable transformation of the fashion industry. In Chad, LVMH strengthens its support for regenerative cotton. On the occasion of COP17, LVMH has took a further step in its commitment to regenerative agriculture with a new initiative dedicated to the cotton sector in Chad, alongside the French Development Agency (AFD) and the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance (CBA). This initiative builds on an initial pilot programme carried out between 2022 and 2024 by LVMH and the CBA, which tested regenerative agroforestry practices applied to cotton cultivation and supported farmers in implementing them. The new phase aims to accelerate the rollout of agroecological and regenerative practices, strengthen the resilience of farms and contribute to more sustainable land management. The CBA would provide scientific and technical expertise, while LVMH is committed to supporting the integration of this cotton into its supply chains, helping to create sustainable market opportunities for the sector. This cooperation illustrated LVMH's approach: acting as close as possible to its strategic raw materials in order to combine ecosystem regeneration, support for local communities and the long-term economic sustainability of supply chains. "We are grateful for LVMH's support for our work on cotton. It will enable us to share practical lessons and research findings on landscape regeneration, strengthening livelihoods and opening up new market opportunities. These insights will be valuable in informing public policy, programme design and investment decisions in regions such as Chad." Marc Palahí, CEO of the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance. "LVMH has committed to preserving or regenerating 5 million hectares by 2030, particularly within its supply chains. The Group is proud to work with the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance and to continue supporting regenerative cotton production in Chad, notably through farmer training and technical assistance. A successful first phase, conducted between 2022 and 2024, enabled us to identify best practices. This new stage, with the support of the CBA and local partners, will aim to share them with as many farmers as possible." Hélène Valade, LVMH Environment Development Director. More sustainable and resilient supply chains worldwide. Around the world, LVMH and its Maisons are implementing projects aimed at preserving and regenerating ecosystems while supporting local communities and stakeholders. The initiatives presented at COP17 are part of this global momentum, driven by LIFE 360, the Group's environmental roadmap, with the ambition of reconciling the preservation of natural resources with the long-term sustainability of its supply chains.
