- An Associate's degree or two-year technical degree in a related field is required.
- At least 3 years of controls and automation experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and blueprints is required.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley programmable logic controllers, human-machine interfaces, touchscreens, and variable-frequency drives is required.
- Working knowledge of programmable logic controller programming and system integration is required.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to work in hot, humid, cold, and dusty environments.
- Ability to climb ladders and work from lifts at heights up to 35 feet or more.
- Ability to perform repetitive grasping, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain control systems and automated equipment, including extruders, dryers, pneumatic conveying systems, packaging lines, palletizers, and material handling systems.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Partner with Operations and Maintenance to resolve recurring equipment issues and improve reliability.
- Train operators and team members on control systems and equipment functionality.
- Maintain control system backups, documentation, work orders, and maintenance records.
- Assist with spare parts inventory and requisitioning.
- Participate in daily production meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Leadership or team lead experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and food manufacturing systems.
- Experience with AutoCAD, FactoryTalk View SE, Ignition, Wonderware, Siemens SIMATIC, or WinCC.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, OEE, and 5S principles.
