Requirements
  • Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Previous experience with Opera Property Management System or similar, preferred but not essential.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and hotel management systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with little supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard office software.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing issues or complicated guests.
Responsibilities
  • Act as the 'face of' The Ibis London Canning Town, extending a warm welcome to guests and prioritizing their well-being while adding a personal touch to their stay.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team, supervising hotel operations.
  • Help team members perform their tasks and look for improvement and training opportunities.
  • Develop sales skills to assist the team in delivering world-class results.
  • Help the hotel meet its targets.
  • Be an autonomous and passionate individual, confident in all aspects of guest relations, receiving and recognizing all guests including those who require special attention.
  • Maintain strong working relationships and communicate with all departments, ensuring a continuous link between night and day.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, sometimes during overnight hours.
