Requirements
  • A keen sense of whats popular and buzz-worthy when it comes to pop culture of TV and entertainment
  • Experience working on social media campaigns in entertainment or streaming TV is strongly preferred
  • A deep knowledge and understanding of how to work social media campaigns, particularly with talent, brands, or IP
  • An ability to think strategically, but can recognize when to roll up their sleeves and get tactical, from drafting copy to scheduling posts
  • Strong judgement and attention to detail
  • Keen understanding of social media ethics
  • Positive and collaborative personality; a commitment to ensuring all activities undertaken are as successful as possible
  • Proactively seek opportunities that align to social media priorities and goals
  • Able to independently structure and manage workflow and priorities

Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative social media ideas and strategy with the goal of growing The Roku Channels brand presence and consumer following across social channels
  • Pinpoint company content priorities and identify opportunities to drive awareness of them through the use of social media campaigns
  • Responsibly represent Roku on social media by acting as the primary voice of The Roku Channel on its social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, the Roku blog, and others
  • Use social media to drive engagement and conversation about The Roku Channel content as well as help drive streaming hours on device
  • Craft and execute creative social campaigns for pre-awareness, launch, and post-launch phases
  • Collaborate with show talent to produce mutually beneficial social campaigns; Act as a liaison between the Roku social team and show talent
  • Identify and cultivate social media influencers
  • Work with both in-house creative teams as well as external agencies to create social assets
  • Work with the editorial calendar and all online content including the drafting and scheduling of posts
  • Track and report key social media metrics
  • Support company launches, announcements, and initiatives with creative social executions
  • Communicate knowledgably about the Roku streaming platform and Roku products including a firm grasp of key partners and their content
  • Collaborate with various departments across the company including marketing, editorial, ad sales, and public relations on the execution of key industry events
