  • A high school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Strong organizational skills are required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • The ability to act with responsiveness, urgency, and professionalism in all matters is required.
  • The ability to use Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and Adobe is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide responsive service for information inquiries and claims processing for Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Reimbursement Arrangements, Transportation Spending Accounts, Health Savings Account plans, or COBRA clients as appropriate.
  • Determine coverage and pay out based on Internal Revenue Service guidelines.
  • Educate plan participants verbally and through written correspondence about client plan specifics.
  • Research and resolve benefits-related issues.
  • Build and maintain rapport with clients.
  • Work collaboratively as a supportive member of the production team for the benefit of clients and internal partners.
  • Maintain open, effective communication and timely follow-up.
  • Take ownership and accountability for addressing and resolving client questions and issues, working toward first-call, first-email, or first-letter resolution whenever possible.
  • Identify coverage gaps and offer client solutions, while maintaining proper documentation on coverage, eligibility, and exceptions.
  • Document customer contacts completely within the client management system.
  • Ensure quality, production, and time-service business results meet standards.
  • Maintain daily client-management functions in system applications as required.
  • Keep current with system functionality and industry-related regulations concerning the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Section 125, Section 132, Health Savings Accounts, and COBRA as appropriate.
  • Teach clients plan specifics and how to use online tools, and provide information to assist them in the future.
  • Support overall MEBS revenue and retention goals.
  • Perform other assigned responsibilities.

  • Experience with flexible benefits is preferred.
  • Experience with flexible benefits administration is preferred.
