Job description

Designs, develops, and operates end-to-end software solutions across frontend and backend systems, combining deep technical expertise with a broad cross-functional understanding of product, platform, and operations. Acts as a T-shaped engineer, bringing strong specialization while contributing effectively across adjacent domains such as DevOps, security, performance, and user experience to maximize product value. This role requires close collaboration with globally distributed teams across regions and time zones to ensure alignment, consistency, and successful delivery of shared product goals. 

What your new challenge will look like

• Design and develop front-end and back-end components within service-based architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. 

• Own the end-to-end software lifecycle, from ideation and system design to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. 

• Apply T-shaped engineering principles, contributing beyond core specialization to areas such as product understanding, UX impact, reliability, and security. 

• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance architecture, developer productivity, and product capabilities. 

• Drive automation across system setup, CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and operational processes in collaboration with DevOps practices. 

• Identify system bottlenecks, technical debt, and architectural gaps; lead initiatives for continuous improvement. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, UX/UI, QA, DevOps, and Security to deliver high-quality, customer-centric solutions. 

• Engage in technical discussions with global stakeholders, contributing to architecture decisions, standards, and best practices. 

• Make informed technical decisions by evaluating trade-offs across engineering, product, and operational dimensions. 

• Promote engineering excellence by establishing reusable patterns, frameworks, and tooling. 

• Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning. 

Why you belong at 4flow

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of experience in modern web applications and distributed systems
• Strong expertise in both frontend and backend (T‑shaped profile)
• Frontend: TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Next.js, PrimeVue.js
• Backend: Java 17+, Spring Boot
• Strong knowledge of modular architecture, API design, microservices
• Familiarity with Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) is a plus
• Ability to evaluate trade‑offs and deliver scalable solutions
• Working knowledge of AWS, CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies
• Experience with monitoring, logging, observability
• Understanding of security fundamentals (authentication, authorization, secure coding)
• Ability to connect technical decisions with business outcomes
• Contributions to performance optimization, DevOps, security, test automation, platform architecture
• Tools: Git, Gradle, Maven, GitLab CI/CD, Jira, Confluence
• Nice to have: SQL/NoSQL databases, Docker, Linux environments, AI/ML integrations
• ERP systems experience (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Knowledge of inventory, supply chain, order management workflows
• Experience with ERP APIs, data synchronization, interoperability
