Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and three years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment or field, or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • The ability to manage sensitive and confidential student information in accordance with university policies and applicable regulations.
  • Fingerprint check and criminal background check clearance are required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a high-level caseload of complex situations that may result in significant community impact and require support across all campus locations.
  • Coordinate individualized action plans with students, families, faculty, staff, and community partners to facilitate appropriate referrals and support services.
  • Provide consultation to students, faculty, and staff regarding student-related concerns and complex situations.
  • Work independently as part of a collaborative case management and student support team.
  • Represent the Office of the Dean of Students on university committees, working groups, and task forces.
  • Problem-solve complex situations involving Title IX and the Violence Against Women Act, including victims impacted by sexual, domestic, and interpersonal violence or harassment, and create and implement action plans to support student needs.
  • Use decision-making skills to provide support for incoming concerns and ensure timely connection to services.
  • Support university retention initiatives through proactive student advocacy and intervention.
  • Manage highly sensitive and confidential student information in accordance with university policies and applicable regulations.
  • Support Educational Outreach and Student Services by performing other assigned duties and serving on university committees and workgroups.
  • Use computers and standard office technology in a typical office environment.
  • Participate in meetings, events, and other work-related activities in various campus locations.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Higher Education, or a related field of study.
  • Case management experience in higher education.
  • Experience assessing individual needs and implementing support measures.
  • Experience with crisis management, response, and postvention.
  • Experience coordinating with university and community partners for student support needs.
  • Experience using case management tools and databases, specifically Maxient, Salesforce, PeopleSoft, and Zoom Workplace.
  • Experience working in higher education with student populations.
