Procore Technologies has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire DroneDeploy for approximately $845 million in cash. DroneDeploy is a robotics and visual intelligence platform used on over three million jobsites across more than 180 countries. The acquisition will integrate DroneDeploy's aerial and ground reality capture capabilities into Procore's construction management platform. This combination aims to transform jobsite imagery into AI-powered insights and automated actions. DroneDeploy provides visual intelligence through three-dimensional imaging using drones, ground-deployed robots, and various cameras. When combined with Procore AI, this visual data will enable construction teams to automatically document observations and identify issues earlier. The transaction is expected to close later this year, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Goldman Sachs is serving as Procore's financial adviser, whilst Citi is advising DroneDeploy.
