Users can create collections of images, called "pins," which they organize into themed boards. The platform primarily makes money through advertising, offering promoted pins that appear in users' feeds based on their interests. This targeted advertising approach ensures that users see relevant content. Additionally, Pinterest earns revenue through affiliate marketing by directing traffic to retailers' websites. What sets Pinterest apart from other social media platforms is its focus on visual discovery, making it a valuable tool for users seeking inspiration and for businesses looking to connect with potential customers.
