Requirements
  • The position requires a mechanical aptitude and experience in the use of hand and power tools, the ability to problem solve while working independently or as part of a team.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds with or without accommodation.
  • Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends as necessary.
  • Must complete in house CPR/First Aid/AED training within 30 days of employment or provide current certification.
  • Background check(s) upon employment in accordance with University policies.
Responsibilities
  • Assembling, moving, cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, and performing general maintenance and repairs on cardio, free weight and selectorized fitness equipment.
  • Assisting in the overall administration and management of the fitness equipment maintenance program.
  • Collaborating with external service companies performing warranty, maintenance, and repair tasks as needed.
  • Tracking inventory, stocking parts and supplies.
  • Maintaining accurate records on maintenance performed and other detailed reports.
  • Maintaining professionalism, either while assisting patrons or attending to other work tasks.
  • Assisting in safety, security and risk management protocols for facilities.
  • Wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing duties.
