  • Minimum educational requirements: bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Minimum experience: 3 years in general management, communications, or event management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
  • Manage BYU Alumni Chapters; serve as primary liaison for regional, college, and professional chapters.
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders; oversee onboarding and chapter training resources.
  • Guide chapter planning, events, communications, and reporting to align with Alumni mission and strategy.
  • Promote True Blue program, foster alumni giving/mentoring through BYU Connect and Replenishment Grants.
  • Monitor budgets, expenses, and reporting systems; recognize and celebrate chapter achievements.
  • Serve as liaison for Executive and Emeriti Chapters; recommend program innovations.
  • Plan and deliver Alumni Chapter Leadership Conference, Alumni Board meetings, and related events.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for alumni leadership programs.
  • Partner with Alumni President to plan agendas, meetings, and initiatives.
  • Manage Board communications, notices, assignments, and committee reporting.
  • Host and coordinate engagement with current, past, and prospective Board members.
  • Oversee budgets, endowments, and awards; support chapters in application and selection processes.
  • Promote program messaging and participation with alumni and students.
Desired Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in education, alumni or non-profit sectors
  • Strong judgment, professionalism, and communication skills
  • Expertise in editing, writing, and presenting to diverse audiences
  • Proven leadership in supervising staff/volunteers and managing projects/events
  • Skilled in budgeting, financial management, and business software
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and effective in team-building and collaboration
