DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Individual will contribute as a software engineer on Dev Ops and Agile
Scrum teams. Ideal candidate will have experience in software
development, system administration and test engineering. Will develop
high-quality, cost-effective, and timely solutions in the fast-paced
global financial services industry. Must be highly motivated and a
self-starter who enjoys innovating and constantly improving the products
and processes.

Will work closely with other software engineers,
architects, scrum masters and product owners in small Scrum teams and
will help evolve the agile process. Will ensure products are scalable
and adhere to specifications. Will coach and mentor other engineers.

Qualifications

Primary technology stacks: .NET and Java 

DevOps Tools – Working Knowledge and Experience

o Cisco routers and switches

• Windows Imaging 
• Windows Deployment Server 
• Scripting 
o PowerShell 
o Ruby (preferred)

Education/Skills
Required: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical
field • A minimum of 4 years of experience in software development,
systems administration and test engineering / strong preference for
experience in all 3 domain areas • Working knowledge of DevOps •
Proficient in Windows and/or Linux system administration • Proficient in
scripting technologies • Working knowledge of automation tools •
Knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies • Service oriented
mentality / servant to the teams • Experience with Continuous Delivery •
Experience with software configuration management automation •
Experience with software installation automation • Experience with
networking technologies • Working knowledge of agile software
development methodologies • Excellent communication, teamwork, and
collaboration skills • Ability to speak developer and consultant
language and translate between the two • Working knowledge of
architecture and design principles • Experience with continuous
improvement processes and principles, including six sigma • Ability to
design, develop, and maintain complex software code and systems •
Working knowledge of software testing • Expert in analyzing, designing,
and implementing software solutions to improve quality, stability, and
reusability of code • Lead and advise other Engineering resources as
part of project and sprint activities • Stays current with technology,
industry trends, and shares knowledge with the team • Experience
collaborating with Architecture, Product Management, and customer teams •
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter • Ability to
continually challenge status quo and drive process improvement •
Demonstrated ability to think, evaluate, and solve complex technical
problems • Demonstrated ability to implement enterprise class products
and solutions Experience demonstrating how technical solutions solve
real business problems
