About the role

The Senior Product Manager at Auctane is responsible for understanding the business needs and leading Auctane product initiatives from inception to execution. The Senior PM will create value propositions that justify investment and have the ability to articulate this value across each of the stakeholder groups. They are responsible for understanding our users and their daily work. The Senior PM will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, analysts, data scientists, senior leadership, customers, partners, and other cross-functional team members to achieve business objectives. The Senior PM will leverage prior experience and deep understanding of customer needs to create the best fulfillment experience for Auctane merchants and partners.

This role will work across brands to support both ShipStation and Return Rabbit merchants and will be heavily focused on integrations, partnerships, and commercialization. The Senior PM will manage the backlog for engineering teams located both in the US & India.

About the Team

The Product team is a business and technology organization responsible for driving the vision and direction of the company’s products and features. We meet with senior leadership to shape the roadmap of planned future updates to our products, create clearly-defined requirements documents that describe what those updates are, and work closely with our technology teams to ensure those updates are implemented correctly. The Product team interfaces with every department within the company, as well as with our customers.

What will you be doing?

• Translate vision and strategy into clear value propositions, product requirements, and specifications.
• Create wireframes and specifications.
• Gather business and technical requirements from external and internal stakeholders.
• Advocate for the customer and improve the user experience to provide innovative solutions.

• Work within an Agile product development process to launch new features.
  • Collaborate with operation teams, development, other project managers, designers, and QA engineers to ensure feature integrity.
  • Manage the product development life cycle to support product releases on a regular basis.
  • Manage numerous projects from inception through launch including Go-To-Market coordination of training, marketing, pricing/billing, & legal.
  • Author corresponding Knowledge Base articles and Help documentation.

• Own, manage and prioritize the backlog of features and bugs based on ROI and dependencies with other product managers, development teams and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the overall Product Vision and Roadmap.
  • Advocate for features that will help drive the business strategy and vision.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with all development and business stakeholders in order to ensure effective and timely delivery of features.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create a roadmap and schedule of features. Monitor ongoing performance of features and act as point of contact for any questions, concerns, or suggestions.

• Excellent presentation skills, including content development and public speaking.
• Technical understanding of how software systems work and data organization. API experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, develop compelling recommendations, and inspire others.

• B2B SaaS product experience.
• Professional experience with eCommerce, shipping carriers, product & inventory management, or returns.
• Past work on global software products.
• Desire to work early in the day in order to collaborate with global teams. (U.S. and India)

The Tech

• Strong proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office products including Excel (Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint.
• Strong proficiency in backlog management products, especially JIRA and Confluence.
• Proficiency with SQL and Business Intelligence tools is preferred.
