Requirements
  • A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices is required.
  • At least two years of experience, preferably in a long-term care facility, is required.
  • The candidate must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, including technical procedures and policy and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during the assigned tour of duty.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing Services in directing the day-to-day nursing functions and coordinate nursing services with other resident services.
  • Develop, maintain, update, and interpret nursing service policies, procedures, manuals, job descriptions, and reference materials.
  • Ensure that nursing service personnel comply with procedures, job descriptions, safety requirements, infection-control practices, and established departmental policies.
  • Prepare written and oral reports and recommendations concerning nursing service operations, policies, procedures, staffing, equipment, supplies, and resident care.
  • Participate in the facility’s quality assurance program, facility surveys, committee meetings, care plan meetings, discharge planning, and implementation of committee recommendations.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents and complete related accident, incident, medical, evaluation, study, and charting documentation.
  • Ensure adequate licensed nursing and certified nursing assistant staffing for the assigned tour of duty, develop work assignments, delegate authority to charge nurses, monitor absenteeism, and make staffing recommendations.
  • Conduct daily rounds, review complaints and grievances, evaluate the department workforce, participate in employee performance evaluations, and recommend dismissals, transfers, and other personnel actions.
  • Provide and coordinate resident care, including admissions, physician rounds, care planning, discharge planning, resident and family communication, condition changes, and monitoring of seriously ill residents.
  • Provide direct nursing care as necessary, start intravenous lines, obtain specimens for laboratory testing, take vital signs, and monitor nursing documentation.
  • Authorize restraints when necessary and in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Monitor medication passes, treatment schedules, medication cards, physician-order transcription, stop-order compliance, and the storage and control of medications and supplies.
  • Inspect nursing treatment areas and resident care rooms and maintain clean, safe, and sanitary conditions.
  • Participate in developing, planning, conducting, and scheduling in-service training and continuing education programs.
  • Assist with safety standards, exposure-control procedures, infection-control programs, fire safety and disaster drills, hazardous-condition reporting, and safe equipment use.
  • Recommend and monitor nursing service equipment and supply needs, stock levels, preventive maintenance, safe operation, authorized use, and efficient supply usage.
  • Participate in resident assessments, written care plans, Minimum Data Set processes, Resident Assessment Protocols, triggers, and reviews of care-plan implementation.
  • Report suspected or known fraud, unauthorized information-system access, confidentiality violations, occupational exposures, and other incidents to the appropriate administrator or director.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience with PCC is preferred.
  • Experience in a long-term care facility is preferred.

PACS Group beats Q1 estimates with $0.50 EPS and $1.42B revenue despite 12.5% year-to-date stock decline

PACS Group acquires Alaska care facility, plans 150-bed skilled nursing centre by 2028

PACS Group has acquired Ridgeway Senior Living, a post-acute care facility in Anchorage, Alaska, marking its fourth property in the state. PACS Group has appointed Carey P. Hendrickson as chief financial officer, effective 27 April 2026. Hendrickson brings nearly four decades of financial leadership across healthcare, senior living and media sectors. Most recently, Hendrickson served as CFO of U.S. Physical Therapy, overseeing 779 outpatient clinics across 44 states. He previously held CFO roles at Capital Senior Living Corporation, managing 128 communities across 23 states, and Belo Corp. He succeeds Mark Hancock, PACS's co-founder and executive vice chairman, who will retire by 30 June 2026 whilst remaining on the board as vice chairman. PACS Group has announced that co-founder and chief financial officer Mark Hancock will retire on 30 June 2026. He will continue serving on the company's board of directors as vice chairman. Hancock co-founded PACS in 2013 with Jason Murray, starting with two post-acute care facilities in San Diego. Under his leadership, the company expanded to 323 facilities across 17 states, serving over 31,700 patients daily and generating $5.29 billion in revenue in 2025, representing 29.3% year-on-year growth. PACS Group appoints Optum CEO Dr Patrick Conway, former CMS deputy administrator, to board

PACS Group, a leading post-acute healthcare platform, has appointed Dr Patrick Conway to its board of directors. Dr Conway currently serves as CEO of Optum, UnitedHealth Group's health services division with revenues exceeding $200 billion. From 2011 to 2017, Dr Conway served as deputy administrator for innovation and quality at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, where he also held roles as director of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation and chief medical officer.
