Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Age 18 or older with a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a good driving record.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact productively with co-workers and function well in a team environment.
  • Comfort and willingness to work in environments that are cluttered or of varying cleanliness.
  • A smartphone for scheduling, timekeeping, and project management.
  • Frequent walking, standing for extended periods, going up and down stairs, and carrying household items and boxes.
Responsibilities
  • Work independently or on a team to sort and handle clients’ items for relocation, resale, donation, recycling, or disposal.
  • Provide customer service while safely packing and unpacking and staging or resettling client possessions in homes or senior living communities.
  • Work at the direction of the on-site manager or team leader to remove household goods during home cleanouts for sale, donation, or disposal.
  • Interact politely and compassionately with clients and their families and respond appropriately to customer issues.
  • Communicate in a positive and respectful manner with clients, customers, and co-workers.
  • Maintain punctual and regular attendance on assigned shifts.
  • Follow company employee guidelines, operating procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Perform other duties related to the company’s core services as assigned.
  • Work in clients’ homes, which may be unoccupied and may vary in cleanliness and in the amount of possessions present.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience packing household goods.
  • Experience in retail, warehouse, cleaning, moving, or general labor.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, compassion, respect, integrity, honesty, reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
