  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate and other related fields (preferred not required)
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate, high performing sales, real estate development, asset management, economic development and/or related field and a base understanding of building technical terms
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm, and creative and detail-oriented project management skill set
  • Demonstrated written and very communication skills; strong analytic skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities
  • Support Leasing Strategies: Actively support the execution of commercial and industrial leasing strategies in line with the portfolio activation plan and NYCEDC's values.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to inform tenanting plans, including competitive analysis and consumer research. Keep track of relevant business statistics, expansion plans, and industry trends.
  • Deal Process Management: Take a lead role in managing lease transactions from proposal preparation through lease execution, including steering leases through the execution process.
  • Documentation Management: Collect all supporting documentation from prospective tenants and oversee the documentation process, including agreements, term sheets, letters of intent, and more. Works closely with the Lease Administration team.
  • Prospect Engagement/Outreach: Actively utilize cold calls, emails, social media and other marketing channels to promote EDC vacant properties and set property tours. Maintain outreach and incoming leads trackers to provide metrics and reports on market demand. Collaborate with prospective tenants, third-party brokers, and conducts property tours.
  • Marketing Support: Assist in marketing and branding efforts, ensuring that website and promotional materials are up to date.
  • Capital Projects: Collaborate with teams on capital projects that align with tenanting goals.
  • Budget Assistance: Participate in the budgeting process as required.
  • Special Projects: Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Team Support: Work with and support staff as needed, including prospect interaction, negotiation, and document preparation.
