- Coursework in analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, and statistics
- Experience with wet lab techniques including preparing solutions
- Ability to spin coat films onto metallic substrates

- Familiarity with basic light microscopy (considered a plus)
- Experience or ability to use Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation (QCM-D) (prior knowledge not required but a plus)
- Experience with spectroscopy techniques such as FTIR or UV-visible spectrometry (supporting experiments)
- Willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to conduct design of experiments using QCM-D
- Familiar with assessing cleaning protocols for consumer and pharmaceutical products
- Join a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers involved in assessing cleaning protocols for consumer and pharmaceutical products
- Use Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation to study residues on manufacturing surfaces
- Conduct design of experiments using the Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation and conduct supporting experiments with spectroscopy techniques such as FTIR or UV-visible spectrometry
- Prior knowledge of Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation is a plus
- Familiarity with basic light microscopy is a plus
