  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in PR, marketing communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of PR experience with growing responsibilities, including at least 2 years in a PR agency.
  • Experience working with technology-related clients and a strong portfolio of earned media placements.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Proven ability to develop client-ready work with minimal oversight.
  • Superior writing and editing skills that communicate creatively and engagingly.
  • A good understanding of client business to provide agency points of view and identify opportunities.
  • A collaborative spirit, results-driven mindset, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities against deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills; able to work quickly under pressure, handling and prioritizing multiple assignments.
  • Leadership skills and knowledge of when and how to delegate.
  • Understanding of earned and paid media strategy and experience creating media plans.

Responsibilities
  • Seek out and create opportunities to place stories in national news outlets.
  • Develop media strategies for planned campaigns, ongoing 'news engine' programs, and real-time news events that lead to ongoing, positive media coverage.
  • Create compelling stories from clients’ business developments and data.
  • Develop media-focused content, including press releases, written pitches, digital, and video content.
  • Maintain strong relationships with national, regional, and trade media, and build new media relationships.
  • Work daily with media across multiple channels, including email, social media, and phone.
  • Participate in and attend client and team meetings.
  • Collaborate with teams across multiple disciplines and locations, managing complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges.
  • Interact with clients to present strategic recommendations and address challenges and opportunities.
  • Execute executive visibility and thought leadership programs, focusing on external speaking, media, and award opportunities.
  • Research and vet visibility opportunities, providing smart counsel to the team and clients.
  • Develop briefing materials for secured speaking and media opportunities to drive executive preparation and ensure messaging success.
  • Author exceptional award nominations to elevate client leaders and organizations.
  • Grow and cultivate relationships with key conveners of conversation at leading tech and business conferences.
  • Provide counsel to help clients position their organization or brand competitively or defend their presence in a disrupted industry.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting association, corporate, and consumer clients is a plus.
