  • Minimum of 5-10 years in business development (ideally within a sports or growth stage environment)
  • Proven ability to sell, upsell, and manage high stake customer relationships
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to think outside the box
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Source, onboard, and manage relationships with brand sponsors
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the brand sponsors in helping them identify the best opportunities within Squad sponsorship marketplace to deploy their marketing dollars
  • Work with the executive team to strategize the company’s growth plans, both for the short term and the long term
  • Assess potential sponsors and unique business deals by analyzing market trends & strategies, deal requirements, and how that compares to the needs of our customers
  • Be able to productively collaborate with the sales, and customer success teams
  • Manage projections and financial forecasts as it pertains to revenue growth from the BD function
