Job Description & Summary
A career in our United Kingdom Qualified Lawyer practice, within Legal Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients adopt a more strategic approach to global entity governance across their organisations. We help our clients and their legal entities with the incorporation of new companies, on going compliance with local legislation, and restructuring of their global businesses to manage governance and compliance risks.
Our team helps our clients with legal consulting services. As a qualified UK lawyer, you’ll focus on providing sound and pragmatic advice to our clients on a range of contentious and non contentious employment law matters.
About the role:
Within our current practice in PwC Legal Business Solutions, we are seeking a Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer Senior Manager to focus on banking and capital markets, broking, fintech, payments, digital assets, and asset and wealth management (including private equity and alternatives).
You’ll be joining the team as a Senior Manager and will have the opportunity to support more senior lawyers directly on interesting engagements which will stretch and develop you.
You will work both on standalone legal engagements and also multidisciplinary engagements alongside PwC colleagues in Risk, Tax, Deals and Consulting.
What your days will look like:
Classic regulatory advisory work, such as perimeter analysis, interpretation of regulation and the drafting of legal memos, opinions and advice.
Legal and regulatory structuring input in a wider range of scenarios from group structure planning to deals.
Acting as a subject matter expert to enable larger projects by the strategy and consulting teams
Finally, importantly, the role will involve supervising and mentoring trainee and junior lawyers on our client engagements.
This role is for you if:
You have UK and/or EU regulatory experience in the payments, fintech and/or banking sector.
You have excellent legal analysis capabilities, an interest in technically challenging projects, an intellectual curiosity about how regulated businesses work and what drives their value and their risk profile.
You can actively build networks and develop internal relationships, with a view to developing your PwC brand.
You must be a UK Qualified Lawyer (or an international equivalent)
What you’ll receive from us:
No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.
We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
