Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design, Communications, Instructional Design, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of related experience in media production, graphic design, communications, or instructional support, preferably within an educational or Hawaiian Culture-Based Education setting.
  • Experience developing and disseminating multimedia products such as video pieces and digital educational materials.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, and digital asset management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to present complex information through visually compelling designs that are easy to understand.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and the integrity required to handle confidential information.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with instructional teams to design Hawaiian Culture-Based Education visuals and content that promote early learning and foster ʻohana engagement.
  • Create communication content using Hawaiian Culture-Based Education framing, storytelling, and visual design.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and design across digital and print media in alignment with E Ola! and Hawaiian Culture-Based Education standards.
  • Partner with instructional teams to produce and edit video content integrating E Ola! into preschool curriculum, professional development, and educational resources.
  • Create educationally relevant content to support social media efforts.
  • Design and manage digital assets, including icons, graphics, and social media visuals, for instructional and communication use.
  • Manage the preschool photo and video repository, including organized storage, secure access, and proper handling of media assets.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and hui to support projects and curriculum resource development integrating E Ola! Learner Outcomes and Hawaiian cultural values.
  • Support project management to ensure timely execution and delivery of projects and communication efforts through effective coordination.
  • Contribute research, information, and insights to support the development and evaluation of curriculum-related projects.
  • Manage and support early learning digital platforms and tools, including learning management systems such as Canvas and Frontline, website builders such as Wix, and other instructional platforms.
  • Ensure data confidentiality, security, integrity, and compliance with privacy standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using HTML, CSS, and DHTML, including modifying JavaScript and PHP code.
  • Technical knowledge of content management systems, usability, user experience methodology and techniques, video content management systems, and video integration through customization and embedding of video players.
  • Experience with instructional design or curriculum development.
  • Experience managing social media for educational or nonprofit organizations.
