  • Bachelors in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration and Management, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or related.
  • 6+ years Product Management or Engineering experience in Financial Services or Tech Industry or related
  • In Lieu of Education Experience 8+ years Product Management or Engineering experience in Financial Services or Tech Industry or related
  • Agile Certification: Scrum Master or Scrum Product Owner
Responsibilities
  • Developing, maintaining, and presenting the vision and roadmap for the Decisioning Model Development Platform product used by data science teams across multiple lines of business at Discover.
  • Creating product vision based on a thorough understanding of direct and indirect stakeholders needs working with business initiative owners and technology teams.
  • Guiding requirements, managing priorities, and being accountable for delivery.
  • Building product backlog, prioritizing its items to achieve Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and continuously keeping it up to date.
  • Participating in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the product team and ensuring alignment with senior leadership.
  • Creating and/or maintaining key product documentation (e.g., customer journey map, technical specs, process mapping, etc.).
  • Identifying and defining key non-functional requirements (e.g., security, availability, performance, etc.) to achieve necessary product metrics.
  • Defining and executing strategic product roadmaps to build new products, enhance existing products, or improve performance.
  • Interacting and collaborating with stakeholders on key product considerations and aligning with product vision, features and roadmap.
  • Contributing to defining the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and responsible for delivering MVP/features/user stories for delivery product roadmap.
  • Defining functional and non-functional product requirements; ensuring completeness; integral and consistent; source of requirements for product team.
  • Creating and validating user story acceptance criteria.
  • Defining and ensuring appropriate testing frameworks for product features (e.g., market testing, functional performance, etc.).
  • Working with Data stewards in their respective LOBs to ensure required Data quality controls are identified and implemented.
  • Inspecting and evaluating product progress through each iteration.
  • Partnering with business technology to create technical features that are required to continuously optimize system components and underline infrastructure maintenance.
  • Identifying sources, monitoring, analyzing (Business Analysis), testing, and interpreting key product performance metrics including financials, network volumes, other key statistics, and internal/external customer feedback trends.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
