  • High school or GED-level ability in grammar, spelling, basic composition, and mathematics.
  • Basic knowledge of softball.
  • First Aid and CPR certification or training.
Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction to softball student-athletes on the fundamentals and strategies of softball.
  • Assist in recruiting and retaining highly skilled student-athletes for the softball team.
  • Support and promote the NCAA Life in the Balance strategic positioning platform and its ideals of learning, balance, resourcefulness, sportsmanship, passion, and service.
  • Assist with daily field maintenance, prepare scouting reports, and perform game management duties.
  • Assist in creating and monitoring expectations and the academic progress of all softball team members.
  • Lead workshops, summer camps, clinics, and similar activities to promote the softball program.
  • Maintain and manage team equipment.
  • Assist in securing donations and sponsorships to support the softball program.
  • Assist with arranging lodging and meals for team trips.
  • Assume head-coach duties in the head coach's absence.
