  • Redesign Health is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer - we recruit, train, compensate and promote our team members based on qualifications. We know how important it is not only to include, but to actively seek out a diversity of opinions and voices
  • We want to hear from you regardless of your race, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, veteran status, or any other applicable legally protected characteristics
  • Redesign Health is a company that powers innovation in healthcare. We develop technologies, tools, and insights that lower the barriers to change in healthcare, and provide a platform that enables founders and the broader healthcare ecosystem to build high-quality health solutions at scale. We have powered the launch of over 30 companies to-date, impacting more than ten million lives across many aspects of the healthcare ecosystem including cancer care, teleaudiology, COVID-19 testing, metabolic health and more. We're on a mission to redesign health for everyone
  • About the Job
  • As a Head of Compliance on our Legal, Policy, and Compliance team, you will oversee a compliance program at a complex, rapidly growing company. You will be responsible for an essential function of the company, and have the opportunity to join a uniquely talented, motivated group of builders
  • Reporting into the General Counsel, you will implement and execute compliance standards and controls for the organization. You will also work to educate and coordinate Redesign Health stakeholders and employees regarding compliance rules and responsibilities
  • If you like building new programs, working on SEC-related compliance, developing training protocols, and aren't afraid of a challenge, we look forward to hearing from you. This job offers a rare opportunity for a compliance professional - specifically, to build a best-in-class function from scratch at a unique, complex and rapidly scaling organization
  • What you'll do:
  • Develop and administer best-in-class compliance, programs, policies and practices
  • Identify areas for new or improved policies
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments
  • Work closely with Redesign Health stakeholders to ensure that the company functions in a legal, ethical manner while pursuing its business goals
  • Work with partners in Legal and Risk Management to investigate and resolve compliance issues or violations
  • Educate and train employees on compliance-related matters
  • What you'll need:
  • You have 15+ years experience, primarily in compliance roles of progressively greater scope and complexity at a consulting firm or financial institution
  • You have 5+ years of experience with managing complex compliance programs, undertaking risk assessments and implementing risk management measures
  • You have 5+ years of experience managing compliance related to an exempt-reporting advisor
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the United States
  • What you'll bring to the table:
  • You can independently provide strategic direction to the management team relating to compliance, coordinating efforts related to audits, reviews, and examinations, and leading internal compliance review and monitoring activities, including periodic reviews of our operating teams
  • You have working knowledge of SEC compliance standards and a facility with related documents and policies
  • You are able to identify and create frameworks to mitigate points of compliance risk
  • You have strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • You have experience in creating training and education programs for different levels of employees and functions of the company, including management and senior executives
  • You are able to identify, detect, prevent and correct noncompliance in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
  • You have experience reporting directly to, and communicating effectively with senior corporate management
  • Who you are:
  • Action Oriented. You readily take action on new opportunities with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. You display a can-do attitude, and step up to handle tough issues
  • Balances Stakeholders. You understand and anticipate internal and external stakeholder requirements, expectations, and needs. You consider cultural and ethical factors in the decision-making process, and act fairly despite conflicting demands
  • Manages Complexity. You ask the right questions to accurately analyze situations and uncover root causes to difficult issues. Through acquiring data from multiple and diverse sources, you are able to make sense of complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to solve problems
  • Instills Trust. You are consistent, follow through on commitments, and practice what you preach. You gain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity
  • You will work out of one of the following locations:
  • In-office: New York, NY
  • Remote: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming
