New Teterboro lounge built for canine passengers.

New Teterboro lounge built for canine passengers. Apr 8, 2026 | AVweb Charter operator Fly Alliance is rolling out a canine-specific terminal concept at Teterboro Airport, the company announced Wednesday. Dubbed the Jet Paw Lounge, the facility is being called the first private aviation terminal designed specifically around canine passengers, rather than simply accommodating them. Fly Alliance says the concept reworks the typical FBO experience into a quieter, lower-stress environment for dogs, with separate lounge areas and individual pet suites aimed at reducing preflight anxiety. The space is divided by size and temperament. "Our clients don't travel without their dogs, so we built an experience that reflects that reality. This isn't about accommodating pets - it's about designing the journey around them," said President and Co-Founder of Fly Alliance Christopher Tasca. Fly Alliance says the new lounge builds on seven years of growth and a 2024 expansion into Teterboro, reflecting increasing demand for more personalized, pet-inclusive private aviation. Jet Paw Lounge is expected to open in mid-April. The company says it hopes to bring the concept to other airports, tapping into a market where nearly 38% of private aviation travelers fly with pets.

Fly Alliance opens world's first private aviation terminal exclusively for dogs at Teterboro Airport

Fly Alliance has launched Jet Paw Lounge, the world's first private aviation terminal designed exclusively for dogs, opening mid-April at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey. The facility features soundproofed pet suites of approximately 100 square feet, a private dog lounge, and separate zones based on size and temperament. The terminal allows dogs and owners to walk directly from the lounge to aircraft positioned outside, eliminating traditional terminal congestion. Fly Alliance has partnered with pet travel specialists who charter flights through the company, offering individual seats to clients and their dogs on domestic and international routes. Founded in 2019, Fly Alliance plans to expand the Jet Paw Lounge concept to additional aviation markets globally, positioning it as a new standard in pet-inclusive luxury travel.

U.S. Charter group Fly Alliance set to expand in India.

U.S. Charter group Fly Alliance set to expand in India. * March 31, 2026 U.S. aircraft management and charter group Fly Alliance is preparing to enter the Indian market with an initial $12 million investment. According to CEO Kevin Wargo, the company will start operations in fourth-quarter 2027 with an Embraer Legacy 600 as the first step in a plan to base 10 aircraft in the country over the next 18 months. Fly Alliance has also opened an office in New Delhi to support aircraft owners. Speaking at the recent Corporate Jet Investor conference in India, Wargo said the company will also provide charter flights and maintenance services under a new local brand to be announced soon. India's civil aviation regulator has already cleared Fly Alliance as a foreign approved maintenance organization with authority to work on Bombardier Globals, Cessna Citations, and Hawkers. The company is now finalizing a partnership with a number of Indian maintenance, repair, and overhaul providers. Wargo commented that current Indian restrictions on imported aircraft limit available inventory and choice for customers. The country only allows pressurized business aircraft aged up to 18 years to be imported, and proposals have been made to raise this limit to 20 years. "Although fractional ownership has worked well in the U.S., we will not pursue it in India," Wargo explained. In the U.S., the company offers jet card arrangements for customers wanting better pricing for blocks of flight hours. Florida-based Fly Alliance already has an office in Dubai, where it brokers charter flights. The company is also looking to base aircraft in the UAE.
