  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Five years of full-time, paid, professional experience in human resources which has included serving as a resource to administrators and providing guidance and support to effectively solve problems and support leaders by utilizing human resources practices effectively in such areas as staffing, recruitment and employee relations.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent.
  • Five years of full-time, paid, professional experience in human resources or finance which has included serving as a resource to administrators and providing guidance and support to effectively solve problems and support leaders by utilizing human resources or financial practices to manage the budget and personnel allocations.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent.
Responsibilities
  • Supports academic and administrative leaders in meeting their organizational objectives by providing expertise and support; develops and maintains effective working relationships; builds an in-depth understanding of the needs and priorities of the leaders in the assigned networks and central offices; works with other functional experts to solve talent issues and implement strategic talent programs.
  • Leads weekly meetings with Talent Specialists and Recruitment and Selection Specialists on the status of openings and trends with the assigned network of schools and/or central office departments.
  • Manages all allotments and vacancy lists for departments and/or schools, including creating and closing vacancies; works closely with school/department leaders and the Office of Management and Budget; develops the vacancy reports and the allocation & organization records for schools in the assigned network for both instructional and support staff positions or for centrally allocated school based positions.
  • Collaborates with other functional leaders within the Office of Talent on talent issues within assigned departments or networks as necessary.
  • Works with principals and other District leaders to ensure employee and hiring issues are resolved and is accountable for ensuring that staff openings are filled strategically; ensures cross-functional alignment within the Office of Talent.
  • Uses data to identify and support trends; develops a plan of action to support managers with filling positions quickly with talented, high performing, qualified and diverse staff members; ensures that schools/departments are organized and staffed based on the needs of each location/office and according to applicable contractual provisions, state and federal regulations, and District policy.
  • Prepares slips and vacancy lists for the bids for the upcoming school year.
  • Works with the offices of Food Services, Transportation, Specialized Services and Facilities & Maintenance to keep abreast of all vacancies due to retirements or resignations.
  • Send individual centrally allocated school based position allotment summaries to supervisors notifying them of retentions honored, posted vacancies and forced transfers from their location.
  • Works with the Office of Management and Budget, the Office of Talent, and other District offices to coordinate budget and personnel allocations as well as facilitate budget and personnel changes.
  • Completes allocation changes upon the request of principals, administrators, hiring managers, and central office personnel.
  • Plans, develops and conducts training for principals, administrators and hiring managers on the alignment of budgets and personnel with school and department plans.
  • Provides data to administrative offices upon request on students and staff as it pertains to school-based resource support activities.
  • Provides support in monthly and quarterly reporting; collects and verifies data, formats reports and manages deadlines and tasks related to reporting.
  • Maps and integrates data and prepares analytical data reports.
