Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of experience utilizing financial technologies and systems to execute tasks and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience in a controllership, accounting, finance, or finance operations role.
Responsibilities
  • Examine global entity data to evaluate Alphabet's corporate footprint, support optimal organizational structuring, and implement legal entity policies across expanding Product Areas.
  • Execute legal entity data updates, manage operational workflows, and deliver progress reports on new setups and liquidations using the Alphabet Legal Entity Platform.
  • Apply established frameworks and protocols to execute legal entity life-cycle management from incorporation to elimination, while proactively identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional finance and non-finance teams globally to facilitate entity setup, operationalization, liquidation, and business expansion, partnering with stakeholders to resolve roadblocks.
  • Drive process optimization by identifying root causes, using technology to enhance accuracy and efficiency, producing project documentation such as timelines, status reports, and issue tracking, and partnering with stakeholders to overcome obstacles and ensure successful outcomes for assigned portions of cross-functional projects.
  • Support the international controllership mission by aligning resources with jurisdictional and regional requirements through a risk-based approach.
  • Manage Legal Entity processes that allow Google to expand and operate globally while ensuring an optimal global corporate landscape.
  • Assess the global legal entity landscape and identify dormant entities for potential liquidation.
  • Partner with Finance Engineering, Controllership, finance, tax, legal, global operations, professional service providers, and in-country business leaders to ensure entity and corporate landscape processes run smoothly.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with liquidations, mergers and acquisitions.
  • Experience implementing operational compliance frameworks or contributing to corporate governance frameworks and legal entity life-cycle policies within a multinational enterprise or complex regulatory environment.
  • Experience managing project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation.
  • A solid understanding of controllership processes, systems, and business enablement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and global teams at all levels.
