Requirements
  • Multiple years of experience in platform, system, or product security architecture, with demonstrated ownership of security architecture at system scope.
  • Deep understanding of computer architecture and platform composition, including CPU, accelerator, and system-on-chip systems, memory hierarchy, direct memory access, and input/output subsystems, as well as data center interconnect standards such as PCIe and CXL and their security features.
  • Experience with confidential computing and trusted execution environments, including memory encryption and virtual machine isolation.
  • Expertise in root of trust, secure boot, measured boot, and boot chain architecture, including transitions between boot stages, and in attestation, including DICE, SPDM, TPM/TCG concepts, and the reference measurement lifecycle.
  • Experience with firmware security, including runtime integrity, anti-rollback, secure update, and recovery design.
  • Expertise in threat modeling, security architecture, and protocol design at platform scope.
  • Knowledge and application of cryptographic algorithms, key hierarchies, and key management in hardware and firmware environments.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and ability to read assembly, with fluency in AI-assisted and agentic development tooling in real engineering work.
  • Experience securing AI/ML workloads and understanding their security requirements at data center scale, with familiarity with GPU and accelerator architecture, virtualization including SR-IOV, SIOV, and MIG, and firmware.
  • Experience with secure debug, JTAG and scan chain protection, fuse and lifecycle state management, and familiarity with side-channel and fault-injection analysis.
  • Familiarity with supply-chain integrity practices such as SBOM and build provenance, open-source firmware projects including Caliptra, OpenBMC, coreboot, EDK II, and openSIL, external security audits, red teams, independent platform assessment, hardware security standards and frameworks including TCG, NIST, and OCP, and post-quantum cryptography migration for firmware signing and device identity.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Responsibilities
  • Define and drive platform-wide security architecture across silicon, firmware, and software for AI and data center systems, including the platform's trust boundaries.
  • Drive the platform attestation architecture, including root of trust, measured boot, reference measurements, and remote verification.
  • Help drive system-wide threat modeling and security analysis across hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Contribute to secure debug architecture and the protection of debug, test, and diagnostic interfaces on production systems.
  • Write system architecture specifications for platform security features.
  • Drive security assessment and audit readiness for AMD platforms, and close findings into the architecture.
  • Apply AI-assisted engineering tooling to accelerate security analysis, review, and documentation, and help establish how the team uses it.

AMD expands Saudi AI platform with Cisco and HUMAIN, plans 250 MW deployment by 2027

AMD has launched an AI infrastructure platform in Saudi Arabia in partnership with Cisco Systems and HUMAIN. The platform uses AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs and AMD EPYC CPUs, with Cisco providing networking infrastructure including its Silicon One technology and 800G optics. HUMAIN will offer GPU-as-a-service for AI model training and inference workloads. The partners plan to deploy up to 250 MW of additional AI infrastructure from 2027, using AMD's upcoming Instinct MI400 Series GPUs. The expansion forms part of a joint venture targeting 1 GW of AI infrastructure deployment by 2030. The platform focuses on sovereign AI infrastructure, allowing customers greater control over data location and model customisation. AMD partners with Cisco on AI infrastructure platform in Saudi Arabia

AMD announced a partnership with Cisco and Saudi Arabia's HUMAIN to launch an AI infrastructure platform in the kingdom. The collaboration combines AMD's Instinct MI355X GPUs and EPYC CPUs with Cisco's Silicon One networking architecture to deliver GPU-as-a-Service infrastructure. The platform will begin with 250 megawatts of AI deployment starting in 2027, scaling to 1 gigawatt by the decade's end. This gives AMD access to sovereign AI spending outside North America. AMD shares hit $628 price target with 35% upside as data centre revenue doubles to $6.72B

Advanced Micro Devices has set a data centre revenue record, with the segment more than doubling year-over-year to $6.72 billion in Q2. The chipmaker guided Q3 revenue to approximately $13 billion, representing roughly 41% annual growth. CEO Lisa Su projects the AI accelerator market will grow over 45% annually to reach $1.4 trillion by 2030. AMD's Helios rack-scale platform delivers up to 15% more throughput at the same power consumption compared to competitors. Anthropic has committed to 2 gigawatts of MI450 deployments, whilst Meta signed for 6 gigawatts. CFO Jean Hu indicated earnings per share will exceed $20, surpassing previous long-term targets. AMD raises $1B in bonds to fund 3nm and 2nm chip development and edge AI growth

Advanced Micro Devices has raised $1 billion through a ten-year corporate bond issuance with a 5.5% coupon. The company announced the offering on 17 August 2026, with interest payments scheduled semi-annually starting February 2027. The funds will support AMD's transition to 3 nm and 2 nm chip manufacturing processes. The capital will be allocated to securing advanced lithography equipment, upgrading dry-etch systems, and investing in wafer-handling infrastructure aligned with the company's 2028 product roadmap. Following the announcement, AMD shares experienced modest declines in pre-market trading on 28 August, part of a broader profit-taking trend among chipmakers outside the AI boom. The bond proceeds will also fund development of edge computing and AI applications, positioning AMD for next-generation technology adoption across artificial intelligence, IoT, and 5G infrastructure markets.
