Requirements
  • A BA or BS degree is required.
  • An MBA or Chartered Financial Analyst credential is strongly preferred.
  • Appropriate investment knowledge and experience gained from work at an investment firm, large institutional investor, or family office is required.
  • Demonstrated investment knowledge and analytical skills are required.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills are required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously are required.

Responsibilities
  • Create and develop diversified portfolios to enable increased returns and lower volatility consistent with the client's time horizon, risk tolerance, and income needs.
  • Conduct analyses, prepare materials, and advise clients on investment and financial issues; lead and coordinate ad hoc client requests.
  • Work with and present directly to clients; develop relationships with clients, including investment committees, client institution CIOs and CFOs, and outside advisors.
  • Select and evaluate investment managers for virtually all asset classes, including alternative assets such as venture capital, private equity, hedge funds, real estate, timberland, and oil and gas.
  • Represent Cambridge Associates externally through marketing presentations, conferences, and other business development opportunities.
  • Oversee analyst- and associate-level team members, including their training and mentoring needs, performance reviews, and career development.
  • Develop financial and investment goals, asset allocation policies, and investment manager structures.
  • Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities.
  • Oversee and contribute to all aspects of client work, including analytical tasks, developing recommendations, supervising investment associates, preparing presentation materials, and assuming significant responsibility for client relationships through direct interaction and presentation of recommendations.

Bank of Singapore appoints new head of alternative investments. Benjamin Low joins Bank of Singapore from Cambridge Associates. 29 July 2026 Bank of Singapore has announced the appointment of Benjamin Low as head of alternative investments with effect from 17 August 2026. In his role, Low will lead the growth of the bank's alternatives platform - including private equity, private credit, venture capital, infrastructure and real estate - to meet the investment needs of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Based in Singapore, he will report to Jean Chia, global chief investment officer. Low joins Bank of Singapore with over 15 years of institutional leadership experience across alternatives strategy, portfolio positioning and manager selection. Most recently, he was head of Asia hedge funds research at Cambridge Associates, where he advised on multi-billion-dollar portfolios for leading endowments, family offices, pension funds and corporate investors. Commenting on Low's appointment, Chia said: "We are excited to welcome Benjamin to further strengthen our investment leadership bench. His strong track record advising sophisticated institutional investors will be instrumental as we focus on our whole portfolio approach to deliver best-in-class investment solutions and differentiated opportunities."
