Requirements
  • Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Commitment to and evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Current registration with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
  • Independent Prescriber Qualification.
  • Post-graduate Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice or Clinical Pharmacy.
  • More than 3 years of experience as a registered pharmacist within the United Kingdom.
  • A wider understanding of pharmacy practice and the workings of the National Health Service, including prescribing and medicines management.
  • Ability to communicate with staff from a range of disciplines within Change Grow Live, the National Health Service, and other organisations.
  • Experience developing clinical protocols and Patient Group Directions.
  • Registration as a pharmacist and experience of substance misuse services.
Responsibilities
  • Support healthcare and operational colleagues to deliver the safe and effective use of medicines.
  • Contribute fully to the delivery and development of the medicines management programme.
  • Undertake medicines management duties at Park House Inpatient Treatment Service.
  • Review incidents.
  • Develop policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the formulary.
  • Undertake audits.
  • Deliver learning and development training tools.
  • Provide medical information.
  • Carry out financial data analysis.
  • Provide comprehensive medicines management support to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines at Park House and across the organisation.
  • Work with clinical and operational colleagues to promote best practice in relation to medication use.
  • Take responsibility for personal development, identify personal training needs, and participate in regular supervision and appraisal.
