Requirements
  • A Federal Aviation Administration Flight Dispatch License.
  • Ability to read weather reports, METARs, NOTAMs, and TAFs, with verifiable flying hours; student pilots are acceptable.
  • Experience conducting flight operations or utilizing flight operations systems in a similar capacity, such as piloting.
  • Knowledge of flight-planning software such as SITA, ARINC, LIDO, Jeppesen, and Sabre.
  • Ability to complete airline-specific training.
  • Ability to handle heavy phone calls and emails, provide flight information to vendors, and liaise with the Airport Authority regarding gate and parking assignments.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and execution of assigned flights.
  • Prepare and file computerized flight and air traffic control plans for international, trans-Pacific, and trans-Atlantic flights.
  • Provide full weather and operational briefings to flight crews.
  • Analyze weather, NOTAMs, and air traffic control data to ensure safe operations and compliance with airline-specific standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with fellow dispatchers to ensure uninterrupted flight-operations service.
  • Complete, submit, and deliver assigned reports in a timely manner to support on-schedule flight departures.
  • Ensure compliance with airport regulations and airline requirements.
